20.01.2022 We would like to wish you all a happy New Year and send our best wishes for 2021! What a year 2020 has been. Although it was a difficult year for most, the Karratha Women's Place was able to grow and become even stronger!! So we wanted to share some of our 2020 highlights. Even though, due to COVID-19, the KWP had to pause our 'face to face' programs between mid March to August, our attendance rates still increased, from 2019, by 73%. ... Some of the other key achievements the KWP was able to accomplish in 2020 include- - Facebook followers increased by 64%. - T-shirts were designed by the Karratha Stronger Aboriginal Women's Group and the Karratha Stronger Aboriginal Women's Group banner was created. - Received funding from Woodside to develop a website for the KWP (which will be launched in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out!). - Increased our range of programs, by commencing 5 new ones. We would like to thank all the women, service providers, businesses and organisations that have supported us in 2020 and we hope that 2021 will be an even stronger year for the KWP!! So we still need your support to help us continue to empower women, especially as our overall goal for 2021, is to find a permeant building, to operate from so that the KWP can be a drop in centre for women
