25.01.2022 A great news story coming out of the past weekend - see below the statement from the Harlow Family regarding Hannah's first centre! -- The Harlow family would like to extend a sincere thank you to John Kassis following a truly special moment that we were so lucky to be involved with on Saturday morning.... Our daughter Hannah, a new referee in 2020, had her first Centre allocation on Saturday morning and John was scheduled as her AR. We advised John it was Hannah’s first time controlling a match to which John excitedly replied that it was the first time he had assisted a first gamer. After providing some comforting advice he then asked if he could give her something he had been given in his first refereeing game. To our surprise he presented Hannah with a 1949 penny that he was first given as a referee starting out and had since carried with him and used for coin tosses throughout his refereeing days. We had not had the pleasure of meeting John before, but this was truely a special moment and special gift that we are sure Hannah will cherish into the future. Thank you John! -- If you have any other refereeing stories or photos that you would like to have shared, send them through to [email protected] and we would love to share them!

24.01.2022 A special congratulations to Ashish Sharma who, in his first year of refereeing with KDFRA, centre-refereed 127 matches, varying in divisions from U14 to MAA2. Congratulations to Ashish and to all our new referees who, combined, refereed close to 1000 matches between them all - a great effort!

24.01.2022 Just a reminder for the remainder of this season from Northern Suburbs Football Association in regard to physical distancing and ensuring the safety of players, spectators and officials! // Referees are to ensure that the spectators and the technical area are separated and are on opposing sides of the field. Please apply common sense to this situation and do your part in limiting the spread of COVID-19 within the Association. // If you have any questions regarding this, ple...ase contact [email protected] and they will be able to assist you with this matter. 19.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE The Ku-ring-gai and Willoughby LGAs have now been added to the NSW Health list of areas and suburbs with increased testing. NSW Health is asking all people who live in, or have visited, these local government areas (LGAs) in the past two weeks to get tested straight away if they have even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat. Check the post below for links to the full list of locations and your nearest testing centre.... A reminder that if you get a test for COVID-19, you are NOT PERMITTED TO REFEREE if your test results are 'POSITIVE' or 'PENDING'. If this is the case for you, please contact the Appointments Officer ASAP to notify them of this.

02.01.2022 A weekend of two halves - was so good to see all our referees out in the sunshine on Saturday officiating matches. It was also very good to see so many referees brave the rain and the cold to officiate matches around the grounds that were playable. This weekend is shaping up to be stellar - remember to send photos through to [email protected] of any officials around the grounds this weekend. #kdfra
