25.01.2022 Hello all. I have been looking for the right words to wish everyone well and thought of trying to wittily string together song titles or even float some new lyric ideas. But in the end I just thought I’d say that I hope everyone is managing alright out there, staying safe, and enjoying lots of music. I for one am loving Jon Cleary’s Quarantini sessions. See you all soon I hope. Leo

15.01.2022 Bucky. He told us not to mourn him but to celebrate him so let me offer a few happy memories especially of the gigs that he so wonderfully supported. Key Grip and the Groove Kings did some memorable Friday night and Sunday afternoon gigs that Bucky let us have at the Rose Cottage, that bar in Kingston the name of which escapes me and of course eventually at Harmonie German and Austrian Clubs. He generously let me do my first solo piano gig at the Harmonie and of course loved ...the Blues Piano Nights that started there. After the second one in Nov 2013 I think it was, he rang me up excitedly the next day, and hey, I was still buzzing from it too, and I couldn't get a word in for about twenty minutes. He said we have to do it regularly and when should it be? I said, "Well, last night was the last Friday in November, so let's keep it as that", and Canberra's Blues Piano Nights as we know them were really underway. I loved Bucky's bass playing. Tasty, and all that was needed, nothing more...unlike his jokes and jibes in his band and artist introductions. Bwa ha ha ha! What a guy. One night I let slip that I loved playing at another venue that shall here remain nameless but which of course was not Bucky's. Were there ever words from my mouth that I have been made to regret more? No. Oh dear. Love from all of us, Bucky, we will miss you. Leo, and all at Key Grip Enterprises past, present and future, I am sure. See more

09.01.2022 Can you believe it? A real live gig? Angela and Leo performed at the Yazzbar on Saturday evening. Hopefully, we'll see more live gigs soon. Stay tuned ...
