22.01.2022 "Looking back to when I first started seeing Amanda in July, it's hard to believe how much my health has improved in such a short space of time.. I can confidently say I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in years.. It's been so much more than just losing weight or getting 'thinner'. I listen to my body a lot more, I understand why it craves certain things and I'm treating it well and repairing the damage I have done to it over years of starving myself then bingeing and following the latest fad diets.. Overall, my attitude towards my nutrition and my health has changed completely and I am so thankful for it" - AD Are YOU ready to change your relationship with food forever? 21.01.2022 Healthy eating begins with the products you place in your shopping trolley! It’s scary to see how our decisions while shopping are still so heavily swayed by special promotions and clever marketing tactics rather than the quality of the food itself. This is the exact reason I began taking clients on shopping tours; too many people going shopping with the best intentions but ending up getting caught out with impulse buys and totally overwhelmed by confusing packaging and mark...eting slogans These big companies clearly don’t have our backs - you have to learn how to see through these money-making schemes yourself so you can approach the supermarket in the smartest way possible and be in control of your own health

18.01.2022 How do you know when a particular fruit is in season? It’s cheap!!! Strawberries are so cheap at the moment and they are also seriously sweet and juicy Known as nature’s candy, strawberries are really high in vitamin C as well as filled with loads of phytonutrients which give strawberries their bright red colour If you can, this is the best time to support your local farmers and purchase strawberries from the markets You can even buy in bulk and freeze them to use in your smoothies over the next few months Always remember - the fresher and more local the produce, the more nutrient dense it is This is a box of strawberries I hand-picked in Tasmania this time 3 years ago - by far the best strawberries I’d ever tasted So what are you waiting for? Time to get munching

16.01.2022 Another day, another Kitchen Cleanse Today I came across a new variation of yoghurt @yoproau in my client’s fridge She stated that her body is able to digest this particular yoghurt much better than other brands she has tried in the past Watch this video to find out why this might be the case What’s your experience when it comes to different brands of yoghurts? 05.01.2022 Last night’s Shakshuka was tops Perfect way to clear out all your vegetables from the fridge This time I used an eggplant that was about to go bad and created this spicy vegetable mixture to form my base And I’ve even got some of the vegetable base left over for my lunch today #winning

05.01.2022 What does a ‘detox’ look like to you? To me, it’s supporting liver function through feeding it all of the different nutrients it thrives on Avocado is loaded with nutrients such as folate to support overall liver function and vitamin E which is a potent anti-inflammatory Avocado is also made up of monounsaturated fats and packed with fibre which together, facilitate toxin removal from the body So ditch the expensive sugar-laden detox juices and jump onboard eating real food to better your health

04.01.2022 What are you doing today? Any social meals planned? There is absolutely no reason to be that one person who refuses to eat anything because it’s not on their diet or go crazy and eat everything in sight, leaving the event feeling guilty and ashamed Eating at social events can be far easier than you think, if you just follow a few simple guidelines: 1 Examine all of the food that’s on offer, start to figure out which foods are the most similar to the types o...f foods you’d usually eat - steer towards all of the various salads, cooked vegetables, grilled protein etc. and fill your plate mostly with that 2 Have a look at the dishes that don’t excite you at all - avoid them altogether! If you don’t like them that much to begin with, they don’t deserve room on your plate, and they’re definitely not worth feeling sick about overeating later on 3 Find the dishes that absolutely light up your eyes It might be a dessert you’d never usually eat or a particular pasta dish that your friend only makes on special occasions Make sure you get some of that on your plate! There’s no way you can overeat it because you will have already filled up on a full plate of vegetables and protein but you definitely can’t leave without having a taste 4 Remember, this is a SOCIAL event, meaning it should actually be more about the people than the food! Yes, by all means, enjoy your lunch, but once lunch is over step away from the food and don’t return Engage in interesting conversations, play a game of backyard cricket and even go and help the host tidy up People who overeat at barbecues are generally the ones who hover around the food bench unnecessarily picking at stale breadsticks and crackers all afternoon 5 Most of all, enjoy!!! No matter what happens, know that tomorrow is a fresh start and overeating a bit of food every so often is no reason to love yourself any less See more
