23.01.2022 Heres’ a quick update about our opening hours heading into the long weekend and beyond folks. We’ll be open as usual Saturday, Sunday and Monday and closing early at 1:30pm on Australia Day (and as usual, there’s no public holiday surcharge business involved with us) We’ll also be serving up the last of our summer street front BBQ breakfast rolls on Australia Day, and the last of our Sunday Souvas will also be this weekend, so make sure you come down and say hi and get one wh...ile you can! We’ll be closing the doors, at both The Kitchen and The Hidden Kitchen, from Saturday the 30th Jan until we reopen on Monday the 8th of Feb, for a bit of down time for us all following a huge summer season. Once back, we’ll be on the road delivering again, Thursday to Saturday, and working on creating a bit of a late afternoon Sunday session with live music and some beats each Sunday afternoon/evening. Thank you all for your support throughout the year, and for your understanding when you had to wait a little longer than normal for your coffee when the crowds came into town. We've had to move around the side due to council restrictions, but we'll be cooking up Breakfast BBQ Rolls from 8am Saturdays & Sundays, and our famous Sunday Souvas are back in action from midday every Sunday (Saturday Street Food coming next week) Also live music from 11:30 every Saturday & Sunday, along with $10 pints & wine from $8 a glass, plus a full breakfast & all day menu, there's never been a better time to come say hi & see what all the fuss is about!

14.01.2022 Even though it has been a week since the last ruling, we are still getting far too many customers coming in to order without a fitted mask. To comply with the latest VIC health regulations, and for the safety of our seated customers & staff, we are now firmly insisting a fitted face mask be worn by anybody* entering the building. Please be aware that this decision doesn’t come lightly, as no doubt we will be turning a lot of those who ‘just want a takeaway coffee’ away, but a... firm approach must be taken by us all to minimise as much as possible, any possible infection risks. We are asking for your patience and understanding with this matter, and remember it’s not just our own house policy, it is a Victorian Government ruling and we are simply enforcing it. Turning away custom at this time of year isn’t the greatest for business... however, ensuring the safety of my staff and customers is the greatest concern for my business... Remember to pop a mask in your pocket when you head out on your walk, and pop it on before you pop in to order - no mask = no coffee... * excludes those medically/lawfully exempt from wearing one

08.01.2022 It was a big week on the coffee machine here at The Kitchen! We’ve got around 150kg of used coffee grounds ready for pickup if anybody wants them for their garden! Perfect to enrich the sandy soil down here and great for the worm farm
