24.01.2022 Announcing Aspiesphere! The Lab's own Minecraft server. We will be adding a variety of game objects, models, creatures, buildings and worlds together to create our own games. 18.01.2022 The libraries are now closed. The Brisbane council has closed the library in Banyo and all of Brisbane due to COVID-19. More recently the Federal Government has announced all group meetings indoors more than 10 people to be canceled. We have decided to continue with activities online using the video conferencing software ZOOM which is free. It would be required to use a microphone and we recommend headphones (to prevent audio echoes) and a webcam.... We will send participants an invite to the virtual room by email address.

12.01.2022 We had a ton of great ideas for Mario levels last week with some wacky and, of course, very practical themes to playtest. While designing a level is a lot of fun, it is easy to get carried away with torrents of enemies and topsyturvy platforms. At The Lab this week we have puzzle mechanics to focus on. This way we challenge the player of our levels think before they jump. Too much to think about? Then grab your lightsaber in Virtual Reality and chop the attacking drones in half.
