22.01.2022 Blepharitis is what this is called, it’s inflammation and possible infection to the eyelid due to a blocked eyelash follicle. The blockage normally occurs from sebum(oil), dead skin cells and bacteria on the natural eye follicle. Blepharitis usually develops from poor eye hygiene. Over time without treating this condition the hair follicle can become inflamed and eventually causing the lashes to become thinner and sparser. Symptoms of blepharitis: Burning sensation White fl...aking on and between the lashes Crushing on the eyelids Swollen eyes Itchiness Redness This is why it’s soooo important to clean your lashes and lid area to prevent blepharitis from occurring. Lashes should be cleaned at least 2-3 times per week for non makeup wearing clients and nightly for clients who wear makeup. Clients that also go to the gym must cleans there lashes after going to the gym, as all that sweat and dirty will build up. Lashes are like your hair or body, you wouldn’t not wash your hair or your body if it was dirty. It’s just as important or even more, these are your eyes!
