25.01.2022 As many of my clients will know this year has been tough for many reasons. My cousins eldest daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour after collapsing on her 22nd birthday in May. In Feb a school friend of mine lost her teenage daughter to brain cancer. These families have raised $100,000s to be able to fund treatment not currently offered in their home country which is just exhausting on top of coming to terms with a diagnosis like brain cancer. ... 24.01.2022 This is me. Verlie AKA The Lash Stylist. Originally from Essex I came to Perth in 2010 with my husband with nothing more than a backpack and rucksack each, and in spite of some difficulties, we haven't looked back. I'm a Mum of two with a hard-working FIFO husband.... I originally had a career as a Mortgage and Insurance broker, later transferring into Property Management. Stay awake, it's get better. I had our son in 2012 and things didn't turn out as expected. So I looked at what I wanted to do and what I felt I could do around my sons complicated health issues I started my career training in Classic lashes with Xtreme and since then have taken multiple lash courses and brow courses to strengthen and refine my skills. The industry is forever evolving. I began my business and took a short break in 2015 when we welcomed our daughter. I was scared to go back to lashing, frightened I had lost my flare, or that my clients had forgotten me. I quickly built my business back up working around my family commitments doing what I love. I landed my dream job as a trainer for Xtreme in 2018. In 2019 we found out our son has Autism and once again work hung in the balance with finding our new normal. However, I am so fortunate to be able to work around therapy, school and FIFO and The Lash Stylist is still thriving and growing. I love nothing more than seeing women relax on the lash bed 'oh, this so comfy, i think I might fall asleep' and then they wake up and say 'oh wow' literally the best part of my day. 16.01.2022 6 years ago The Lash Stylist moved out of our back bedroom and we turned this space into the studio and a study nook! At the time i had only been lashing for a little over a year, I was still perfecting my craft and I wasn't sure if I could build a business by myself. I love my beautiful space, and my business. I've realised it takes more than one person to make a business a success. Thank you to my husband for all his support and pushing me to follow my dream. And of course, all my clients past and present for making The Lash Stylist the wonderful sanctuary it is.

13.01.2022 There is nothing that breaks my heart more than telling someone 'Sorry, I can't relash you, we need to remove them'. I then show them the photos and tell them why before I remove. Then they sit up, look at themselves and their faces say it all. At least this lady has EyEnvy and there is hope that she will have lashes again soon.
