19.01.2022 I'd like to introduce the lovely ladies who help make The Lazy Wave special. Our manager, Wendy H, is dedicated to making the shop customer-friendly and manageable, given the mountain of stock I've brought in since June. Wendy has been with the shop for 6 years and knows more about the business than anyone. She laughs at everything - which makes us all feel we're being hilarious - and is a part of her charm. She recently had some time away for an operation and recovery, but i...t's great to have her back with us. The shop needs its manager. Our regular, part-timer, Wilma, is an asset to The Lazy Wave in ways that benefit both staff and customers. She has been with the shop for four years and during that time has been loved by all because she's so friendly and easy-going. She also works hard doing all the jobs that crowd into our day at The Lazy Wave. Curently, she's swanning around up north having a well-earned break. We look forward to having her back with us in spring. One of our newest staff members is the delightful Shakayah. Only fifteen and in the 9th grade at high school, she's clever and quick and gives every task one hundred percent. We know we're lucky to have this sweet-natured, intelligent girl with us every Saturday. Welcome aboard, Shakayah! The newest lady aboard the SS Lazy Wave is Sharon. She's great to work with and so competent at the till. Unlike - ahem - me. I'm glad she has joined our hard-working crew. She can be found in the shop most Sundays and occasional Fridays. Yay for Sharon!

17.01.2022 The imported array of Bali clothing has arrived and is in store now. Ultra feminine and lacy styles of tops and dresses and cute skirts are mixed together with hoodies in rainbow colours, shorts and happy pants of every conceivable shade and pattern. It's a feast for the senses to walk into The Lazy Wave and be surrounded by rich tosca, watermelon and sea blues, plus the dramatic shades of red, black and white. The sporting types are not forgotten, either, with sporting lycra jackets in pink, aqua, white or black - matching it up with sport singlets, bra tops and shorts along with pants for exercise or yoga. All of these are offered at the amazing price points that The Lazy Wave has become known for throughout the region and even Melbourne.

14.01.2022 It was a long, wet winter. But now it really is time to spread our fashion wings and fly into the blue beyond. Winter coats and jackets - begone! However, because we had more than three weeks of rain at the end of winter, it affected trading as much of our stock is displayed outside the shop. And people do tend to stay indoors when it pours. Because of this downturn, it has proven challenging to raise the thousands for port fees so our 36 pallets of Bali stock can be released... to us. It's a bit of a catch 22 as when people come in asking for swimsuits and board shorts, I have to admit we only have a very small selection - mostly left over from last summer - which often sees the customer leaving unsatisfied. If we had the stock, then we could raise the money to pay for the port fees at a faster rate. But because this is our first time using this shipping company, they won't allow any credit. But being Christian, I think asking and trusting in our God is the go. I know He'll come through for us. Stay tuned! When the Bali stock has been released, I'll give further details of what is available. From what I can remember of the styles and designs, I know there are vibrant colours and bold designs - which I'm glad of now as it seems this is the popular style for spring and summer. And as the shop is located on an island, it couldn't be more fitting to the ambience of relaxed holiday mode and festivity - well, in the warmer weather. Have you always wanted to travel to Bali to partake of the gorgeous, affordable clothing? There's no need to travel uncomfortable hours and spend cash on fares and accommodation. Just visit The Lazy Wave in Cowes, Phillip Island, where Bali has come to us. Almost. Our collection has been personally inspected and chosen by me - and the previous owners - to contain mouth-watering styles and prices for gorgeous long and short dresses, happy pants, attractive summer tops and shorts, men's and women's swimming apparent - and, of course, Balinese jewellery that is priced to go. I'll write further when 'Bali' has finally reached the store and is on display. You won't be disappointed - on any level!

12.01.2022 Spring is on its way to The Lazy Wave. Yippee! And so is the spring clothing range. Of course there'll still be plenty of hoodies and trackies to choose from - and some surprises - but these staples will reflect the change of weather and newer styles. Stay tuned for photos of the new gear for all ages and genders.

11.01.2022 This is the first posting for The Lazy Wave since I've taken over as owner in June this year. My name is Wendy Peterson, and I've never been involved with retail before, but I think it's time to take the plunge into uncharted waters. It's been two months of thrills and chills - and I'm not just referring to the weather - but mostly fun. Some of the fun moments have been discovering and displaying new clothing in the shop that combines great prices with functionality and vis...ual appeal. Usually, I can't wait to hear what the other girls at The Lazy Wave think of these new-found gems.. We specialise in jackets, hoodies, trackies, gloves and beanies. Anything that helps to make life more comfortable in the chilly climate of Phillip Island in southern Victoria. The other fun part has been meeting customers, regular and new, who've dropped in to check out what we're offering. I've had some constructive criticism and encouragement which was appreciated. :) See more

10.01.2022 Every now and again, a personality-packed and personable male enters our door. But, today, four of them trouped in - each one wanting to purchase a Hawaiian shirt with a fashionably coordinated pair of happy pants, "Most comfortable pants I've ever had on," said one. Attention designers of mens' clothes: I can see a new niche opening of comfortable pants with eye-catching, colourful patterns and elasticized waists. Perhaps the Marvel super heroes were ahead of their time in ...their comfy gear of shorts, lycra tights and capes. It was one of those unforgettable photo opportunities not to be missed. For the guys reading this: come to The Lazy Wave and you, too, could look dynamic and suave.
