24.01.2022 The Lead Alliance in Mount Isa have developed a LEADSmart App to support Mount Isa families to monitor blood lead levels. The tool enables families to monitor and manage their exposure to lead by providing fingertip access to useful information and offering families an opportunity to record and monitor their blood lead levels. The app is suitable for both IOS and Android phones and can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play at no cost.

10.01.2022 The Lead Alliance is excited to announce we will be launching the LEADSmart Literacy Program to the Mount Isa Community from 10.00am-12.00pm(noon) at the Mount Isa Neighbourhood Centre on Wednesday January, 20, 2021. The launch will consist of three interactive storytelling sessions showcasing the Very Hungry Caterpillar storybook and each session will run for approximately 25 minutes. Session times are: 10.00am, 10.45am and 11.30am. ... 04.01.2022 Exciting News! Last night the Lead Alliance launched our new program logo and mascot at the Red Earth with local dignitaries and special guests. Introducing Captain LEADSmart our new program mascot! Captain LEADSmart is a superhero aimed at encouraging Mount Isa residents to become health heroes by eating healthy food, washing hands and obtaining regular blood lead tests. ... Our new logo drew from the colour palette of the North West region and the symbolism of hands represented many factors associated with lead including: community, individuality, diversity, handwashing and lead testing. It is our hope that this product refresh shines a spotlight on the Lead Alliance goals and ambitions for our wonderful community and we look forward to sharing more developments and projects with you all in the coming months. 02.01.2022 Captain LEADSmart decided to made a surprise visit to his LEADSmart friends at Mount Isa Special School today. As part of our visit, each classroom were treated to a special puppetry engagement from Captain LEADSmart and some of his friends. Last week, each class were provided with some Captain LEADSmart colouring in sheets and the students artwork were judged independently by some of our friends at the Lead Alliance. ...
