08.01.2022 FEDERAL CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE ANDREW (DEALING WITH FAMILY LAW MATTERS) FOUND DEAD Family Court Chief Justice William Alstergren has issued a statement of admiration for His Honour. Recently we noted that His Honour had been removed from his position in Townsville to seek counselling and supervision in Brisbane. He had made many disparaging remarks during proceedings to both lawyers and self representers. Early indications are he took his own life.... A sad day and a curt reminder to all who are quick to slam the courts of the tremendous pressure Judges [and lawyers] face everyday with family matters. It is NOT an easy job.
