23.01.2022 There is an outbreak of coronavirus in Adelaide. South Australia Health is identifying places and times where potentially infectious persons were present. If you are affected, please check the latest advice on the Tasmanian coronavirus website; https://coronavirus.tas.gov.au/ If you are in Tasmania and have recently been in South Australia please be alert for symptoms of coronavirus. If you experience any symptoms, even if they are mild, contact the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to arrange a test. Anyone arriving from South Australia from today will at this stage be required to enter quarantine. Further information is expected from South Australia Health and national discussions later today. There will be a further announcement later today when further information is available.

17.01.2022 Self care comes in many forms. For some it’s a hobby, and house plants are a great hobby! So our winter challenge is plant care. Every team member has been given a plant to care for. Whoever has the healthiest plant at the three month mark is our TLC winner. Stay posted for updates, and remember to find your self care balance. ... Good luck to Dr Peta and Dr Jay who picked maidenhair ferns!

Rest assured here at the clinic we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure your well-being and safety. 05.01.2022 Practice Update In light of recent numbers of Covid-19 in Victoria it is important to remember to stay vigilant. In order to stay safe and adhere to Public Health directives please note the following for all appointments: If you are presenting with any respiratory symptoms (i.e. sore throat, temperature, cough) it is IMPERATIVE to advise reception immediately to change the management of your appointment. This will not stop you receiving medical treatment only the way w...e triage. Preferably, only the patient and one support person (if needed) should attend the appointment. If you are early for your appointment please wait in your car until your appointment time. As a precaution we ask you to use the provided hand sanitiser on arrival. If you have been outside of Tasmania or been in contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 14 days prior, please contact us to reschedule the appointment. We have revised waiting room layouts. This is to limit the number of people in the waiting rooms at one time. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us on 6243 8611.

04.01.2022 We’re very happy to let patients know that our resident physiotherapist James will be extending his days at the Clinic as of next year. For appointments please call the clinic or book online. https://www.hotdoc.com.au//lindisfar/doctors/james-o-meara

03.01.2022 Practice Self Care Challenge update You might remember a few weeks ago we shared with you our Practice house plant challenge. Well we’re at the half way mark now and some plants definitely are fairing better than others (not mentioning names). Good news Dr Peta is charging along with Franny the Maiden hair fern.

03.01.2022 Our practice has started using SMS messaging to send recalls and clinical reminders to patients about upcoming health appointments, such as immunisations, cervical tests and blood tests. The SMS’ will replace letters previously sent in the post. Not only is this a more sustainable method than traditional mail, it is also a more secure way of communication as personal verification is required in order to access your message. For further clarification or for more information please contact our reception on 6243 8611.

01.01.2022 The holidays are nearly upon us, here are our opening hours over the festive season.
