23.01.2022 NYE Makeover - Swipe to see more. A Big New Years Eve Hair Do for the Fabulous @vena_vendetta (Erin) This gal is a Pin Up pocket rocket of talent and loves BIG hair. ... Hair Pieces blended with her own hair, curled and teased and primped and preened to achieve her NYE desired look! Erin is so clever, so kind, so talented and yet so shy. You wouldn’t think so with her beautiful body covered in art and her Hair and Makeup always on point and very much "out there" but then you can’t judge a book by its cover and can’t always assume someone who appears outwardly confident isn’t just dying inside with the anxiety and fear of stepping outside their comfort zone and being in large crowds of people they don’t know. This is a feeling we all at some point feel. I love that Erin constantly pushes herself to step outside her comfort zone, to achieve more, to learn more and to give more! 22.01.2022 So looking forward to delivering another special day of pampering for 25 gorgeous wonder women, cancer warriors doing their thing and turning lemons into lemonade most days and when they can't then we fill their cup for them. I love this charity, not because its my family's legacy but because my sister Elisha Neave craved for a day like this and so did I when going through treatment, My Mum steered this charity and helped it develop and she did it all from heaven can you beli...eve it! :). It's a day to indulge in guilt free offloading of anything you need to offload and guilt free indulgence of pampering that is free and delivered by the most amazing volunteers who donate their time, their love, their services, their shoulders, their ears and their hugs to make a difference in one persons life in one moment. Thats all it takes. Venue: The Carington Hotel A Vintage Bride Story: It was meant to be I reckon, that I was to be Laurens MUAH Stylist for her wedding for herself, her two sisters and the Groom and groomsmen.. When Lauren contacted me originally, I was not going to be in Sydney and it was cost prohibitive just for the wedding alone to make the trip to the Blue Mountains. I said to Lauren lets see what happens closer to the time. Time passed and the very day my husband and I booked a weekend away to attend another dance event in Sydney, we get a call from Lauren following up on on her wedding and the availability of a Vintage Stylist! Yes, the universes collide and we were meant to be as there I was and free! I trust when things like this happen that it is meant to be and it will be a fabulous experience and it was. Lauren’s Mum and Dad and Sisters wee just delightful, thoughtful, funny and kind.. Lauren’s Mum made all the dresses herself and was so humble about her abilities. Their Dad was an absolute card.. funny and quirky and I loved them all.. I asked Lauren to share her story with us as for me, its not just another wedding where I get paid to do hair and makeup, for me it must be special too and this wedding was. Thanks Lauren & Brendan for having me as your Stylist!
16.01.2022 THE GREAT VINTAGE BIKE RIDE We are putting on a Vintage Pushbike Ride in support of our Melbourne Pin Up And Vintage lovin sisters and friends still in lock down in Melbourne. Given this will be their Racing Carnival Melbourne Cup Weekend we thought we could all wear fancy hats to show them we are thinking of them! Broadwater to Broadbeach - riding the pathways along the Broadwater and Beachfront. The exact pinpoint of the meet up will be advised soon.... A day for everyone, families, couples, girl gangs, singles etc to ride for the fancy fun of it all! At our destination we will provide delicious refreshments for everyone to enjoy, roll out the picnic blankets and catch up and socialise and of course take lots of pictures and tag lots of our friends in Melbourne. Cost is $10 pp (To cover refreshments) What to Have/Bring: * Pushbike (With basket preferably) * Dress Vintage or Vintage Inspired suitable for riding and team it with your fanciest hat to show our Melbourne friends we are thinking of them. * Water bottle, Sunblock and Bike Helmet for when we are required to wear it otherwise it can sit in our baskets :) We are assuming by 1 November the gatherings of 30 will be over BUT just in case, everyone that wants to attend must formally let us know (Not just click going on FB) by text, email, Dm or however just so we can register on the contact tracing sheet. So I was beyond excited to find Chrissy from @lindycharmschool as my hair and make up artist. Not only is Chrissy beautiful and riot to spend time with but she is also a total professional with an eye for detail. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed while she transformed myself and my beautiful sister. She totally understood what I wanted and th...e results were beyond my wildest dreams. Even through rain and hail my hair stayed (mostly) in tact. My make up looked just as good at the end of the night as it did when Chrissy finished! On this day I tried on this gorgeous true vintage 50's style green dress and two years later I bought this dress from her clothing sale and have treasured it ever since. To me this dress isn't just a piece of clothing, it was the dress that lead to the creation of my pinup name Miss Vintagious and my outlook on the glamour of mid-century fashion
