Students learn to identify sounds and symbols by breaking them down and approaching them in a variety of ways. This helps develop automatic recognition of sounds and words which is imperative in developing fluency. This process is essential for young readers to develop at an early age, especially those with language based learning difficulties and/ or Dyslexia.
