25.01.2022 What a night of tutoring! One of our students achieved a major breakthrough with Miss Marissa, writing a full essay on France and Australia, and we received some incredibly lovely feedback about Miss Nicole. Feeling the love! ‘Just to let you know, K absolutely loves Nicole. Nicole has done wonders for K, she’s changed my little girl. Thank you so much ’

20.01.2022 For those who haven’t met the wonderful Jaymee, here she is! A wonderful and valued member of the TLF Team! JAYMEE RICHARDS - LIT FACTORY TUTOR Jaymee is a highly motivated individual with a big heart and caring attitude. She enjoys immersing herself in new knowledge, usually to an almost obsessive degree! With a bachelor’s degree in Business (Public Relations) she understands how important relationships are and always prides herself on being approachable, honest and helpful...; always willing to go the extra mile. She is a life-long learner and subscribes to the theory that you can never have too much information. Jaymee pursued a career in fashion and costume design; studying Fashion Design and Technology at TAFE where she got her diploma and then continued her studies further with a Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services. She continued her career in the Brisbane theatre scene for years before moving to Bribie Island. Tutoring provides her with the outlet to pass on her many skills and talents and what she has learnt through her years of tertiary education. She enjoys tutoring as a place to help young minds nurture and grow and absorb all the information that they can. Jaymee especially enjoys debating topics and challenging preconceived notions and views; she believes the world was meant to be understood from more than one angle. Helping others is her main passion but she also enjoys discovering new information for herself. She is an avid nerd, geek and gamer and enjoy the pop culture scene in her spare time. See more

19.01.2022 For those who haven’t already met our lovely team, I’m excited to introduce you to the beautiful Miss Nicole, our Early Years Specialist! NICOLE BONELLI MADELEY Nicole is a passionate educator and has been in education for over 10 years as an Education Assistant, working mainly in the early years in both the state and private systems. She has been in her current position at a private independent school for the past 6 years. In this time Nicole has had the privilege of work...ing with a number of outstanding senior teachers who have imparted onto her their vast knowledge, experience, wisdom and skills. Literacy is Nicole’s love and she thoroughly enjoys teaching and sharing with children the joy of reading and creating their own stories through imagination. She is also a published author with her children’s book series, ‘Chooks on a Mission: Adventures of Gloria and Edwina.’ Nicole’s book series has a strong emphasis on developing children’s phonological awareness and building their skills in reading, writing and spelling. Nicole is honoured to be apart of any child’s learning journey and looks forward to working with your family. See more

10.01.2022 Over the course of 2020, we’ve been doing more and more work around ADHD and why the diagnosis numbers are so high. What we found was fascinating

10.01.2022 For anyone who hasn’t met the lovely Shannon, here she is! SHANNON HORSFALL - AUTHOR, ILLUSTRATOR, LIT FACTORY TUTOR Shannon is an author illustrator with a background in graphic design. Her first picture book ‘Was Not Me!’ was published in 2016 by Harper Collins, and her second, ‘Nomax!’ in June 2017. ... Her head is always filled with characters creating mess, mischief and mayhem. She describes herself as a grown-up whose inner child is not always kept safely inner. She holds high the value literacy gives to children young and not so young and has developed a range of workshops for all ages to share her love of the written word and the illustrative process. 09.01.2022 I am SUPER excited to introduce our new tutor, Ashley. Ashley is our very own Maths and Science specialist! Before having her own children, Ashley delved into Science and Business studies and went on to work in Office Management. After having her children and exploring child-led learning during their early years, Ashley’s interests then turned to home-schooling when her first child was due to start school. A natural follow on, this new passion opened her eyes to the differen...t education philosophies and learning styles. She was then able to tailor her children’s learning to their personal needs and interests, incorporating quality children’s books, project-based learning and traditional education to harvest a love of learning. Ashley knows all too well how important it is to meet the child where they are at and find what works for each individual child, with a strong belief in nurturing the child’s growth mindset.
