Guest artists include vocal ensemble ‘Enduring Classics’, vocalist Susan Jackson, and a trombone chorus. 22.01.2022 Calling all pBonists! Who is joining us on Sunday for 76 pBones? We'd like to get an idea of numbers so we can sort out the logistics of having so many talented, witty, clever, funny, good looking people on the stage (those being the natural attributes of trombonists).... Who's in?
21.01.2022 SPECIAL FRIENDS OF TLBB Our upcoming Hollywood Spectacular gig features a number of songs arranged specially for us by the very clever Mark Witham, former member of TLBB. As a child, Mark learnt piano, clarinet, voice and pipe organ, before very sensibly choosing a brass instrument at secondary school. On euphonium, Mark won the state championship twice and was the Australasian Junior Champion of Champions at Royal South Street in 1975.... Mark spent 14 years in the Australian Army as a soloist and principal euphoniumist and trombonist, music instructor, drum major, conductor and music director. Since leaving the Army, Mark has been a music educator, and a director of music and performing arts, in several highly reputable schools across the country. Mark recently managed the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts, but moved back to his family business, The Little Cupcake, this year with his wife, Madeleine. Their business has just been award the best small business in the Ballarat region. Mark is in demand in Ballarat and beyond as a musician, conductor, teacher, clinician and adjudicator, and was a driving force behind the creation of Eureka Brass, Ballarat's newest brass band. Mark has gifted many arrangements and compositions to TLBB and we are most grateful for his expertise and generosity.
