24.01.2022 A beautiful cake stand is just the finishing touch, but they can be very expensive, bulky and gather dust. The answer is don't buy, hire!

23.01.2022 Last week was a huge week for The Little Caravan, it was all about one wedding, one cake and a tonne of bling! I had the absolute pleasure of making the cake and attending the Wedding of Sonya and Steve Day, at the stunning Panorama House in Woolongong. Sonya loves bling and coming up with this design was something I was really excited about. I got the chance to use "sequins" which is a really new technique and I'm so happy at how they worked. The cake had 3 flavours: White & Dark Chocolate Mud and Caramel Mud with matching Truffle and Ganache fillings.

20.01.2022 Sometimes it's hard to work out the colour schemes, other times it's super easy... when you get given actual samples to work to. Jaymie gave me 5 pretty coloured party plates that were the basis of this design. Bottom tier is my usual Chocolate Mud cake with truffle filling. The top tier was White cake with matching coloured cake balls inside.

05.01.2022 One for the Football fans this week, a 60th cake for a Liverpool supporter! Still in love with the edible icing sheets, so many possibilities and perfect for this cake.

04.01.2022 It's an exciting week for lovers of all things Cake....The Sydney Cake, Bake and Sweet Show starts Friday! I have my ticket and can't wait......going to be like a kid in a candy store!

03.01.2022 Something new and challenging for the latest cake, a surprise inside! Maryjane requested a cake with a name inside and I hadn't seen anything like this before. After a bit of Googling, reading a few blogs and 2 test cakes later we have a Baby shower cake for a soon to arrive little girl called Everlyn. These cakes really only work with short names so Eve it was! :)

01.01.2022 Smash cakes are very popular for 1st Birthdays now and I finally got to do one for my special little guy who just turned 1! He didn't really eat much but had great time making a big icing mess.
