21.01.2022 Shine Bright like a Foiled Invite!?! SWIPE for close ups . . Hot foil stamping is all the damn rage and I am here to break it down for yall . .... Hot Foil stamping involves producing a die (or think massive metal stamp) out of your artwork that will stamp or press into the paper using foil and heat leaving you with the beautiful shiny foiled artwork behind. The heat stamping process leaves a beautiful impression on the paper that can be seen and felt and absolutely ooozeees luxe! We recommend using thicker card to get the most wow factor These foil dies are super pricey to produce so 50 units might work out to have a much higher price per unit then say 300! (Order spares *always*) Like all good things they take time so allow a little bit extra for this method.. promise it will be worth it! HOT TIP: if your budget wont allow for foiled everything we get it and thats totes fine!! focus on adding the wow factor with just a *POP* of foil on one item only! 13.01.2022 So its been a while between posts and honestly? Its taken me a few weeks to figure out how to talk about events when they just dont exist right now. Its felt kind of odd to be promoting invites & event stationery [such a core part of this biz] when SO many of you dont have a clue IF or WHEN youll get to celebrate your special day! Because who has time to deal with a different supplier for invites, welcome sign, menus, table numbers the list goes on.. and trying to get *ALL* of those items to match? absolute nightmare! . There is seriously *NO* better way to make sure everything is consistent and matching then by using the one supplier! Your invites give your guests a taste of whats t...o come on the big day so making sure those fonts, colours and design elements flow through are ESSENTIAL.... and may just save you those extra grey hairs that you def dont need leading up to your wedding! . I know it may seem *WAY* too early to think about your on the day stuff before you have even invited anyone, and yeah some things just cant be done that far in advance (seating charts we are talking about *you*) but there is absolutely no harm in being super organised, letting us know the items you require, getting yourself some quotes for your wedding budget, and securing your date with us. 09.01.2022 Ahhh the dreaded guest list!! If you can make it through this part of the wedding planning unscathed congratulations you shiny bright unicorn you!! Tag your fiance, hubby, wifey, sister-in-law, bridesmaid etc below and all will be forgiven . Emotions are heightened, seating is limited and your future in-laws want to invite the next door neighbours hairdresser... there is *BOUND* to be a little tiff or eye roll here or there but it doesnt have to be... a complete disaster! I have absolutely [ZERO] advice on who to invite or who to leave out but my one TOP TIP is always... I repeat ALWAYS make sure you are allocating at least 5-10% extra invitation suites as SPARES!! . So if your ordering 100 invites, make sure you have set at least one aside for yourself as a keepsake (and for your photographer to shoot on the day), a couple for your parents and 5-10 invites for spares! This many left over is no big deal but run out and need to re-print 5, especially if they have a print finish like foil, or embossing and they are going to be some expensive re-prints! . Also dont forget that not EVERY guest needs an invite! Rule of thumb is to cut your guest list number in half and thats *roughly* the amount you will need as a lot of your guests will be in a couple or a family! [Always] do a final count before printing, but this can be a quick way to get a rough number for quoting purposes before that guest list is super rock solid! See more

07.01.2022 Why am I feeling *GRATEFUL* while pregnant during a pandemic? Being pregnant for the first time is such a special, crazy, daunting and at times overwhelming experience - being pregnant during a global pandemic on the other hand is something else entirely! Dont get me wrong I could sit here and fill you in on ALL the crazy yet also very *real* thoughts & realisations that go through the brain of an expecting mumma at the moment - add in a few raging hor...mones and they arent all that pretty let me tell you! *However* there is also a beautiful silver lining that us new & expecting mummas get to experience through all of this that others dont and thats to be able to look forward to the new little lives growing inside us at a time when life is just *so damn precious* Yes it may not go exactly as we originally planned & our baby showers may happen a few months late with our babies stealing our thunder and attending as a guest of honour instead of in utero but I wouldnt want to spend my days in ISO daydreaming of anything other than to be this little bubbas mumma & for that I am *SO* damn grateful! Your price per unit may be very different then someone who is ordering 200 especially if you want a specialty print finish such as foiling! See what I mean! SOO many damn variables! . . But those variables are also what helps us to be able to suggest ways that you could adjust materials or finishing options to reduce costs in certain areas and to also be able to highlight where it really is worth splurging for that extra wow factor! . . 01.01.2022 So it’s been a while between posts and honestly? It’s taken me a few weeks to figure out how to talk about events when they just don’t exist right now. It’s felt kind of odd to be promoting invites & event stationery [such a core part of this biz] when SO many of you don’t have a clue IF or WHEN you’ll get to celebrate your special day! It’s also been a bit frantic behind the scenes trying to re-jig the way this little biz will function when all of these e...vents DO finally get their day [and they will!] because there’s gonna be a tiny new little member to the TLD fam hanging off me but rest assured I’m already training this little bubba to come out printing invites and menus because the party must go on! In the meantime while we navigate this [new normal] and the events we know and love are on pause, celebrating the ones we love isn’t! With Mother’s Day literally around the corner & with SO many unable to visit their mum, grandmother, mothers-in-law etc this year there is no better time to celebrate our love for them with a thoughtful keepsake!
