18.01.2022 We received the most AMAZING gift in the mail at The Little Juddies HQ last Friday. A big box of hand written Thank You's from some of the Farmers & their families of Bingara who received a Hamper (and Toys & Gifts) When I realised what was in the box, I burst into tears. So beautiful! Thank you so much to everyone for taking the time to write on a card for us and our supporters. And Thank You so much to all of the farmers who have contacted us through our page. 16.01.2022 *** WANTED: BAXTER BOXES *** Please read entire post before commenting And please feel free to SHARE post! Hi Everyone!... We are just getting plans together for our next BIG week long 'Drought Run' in May. At this stage, we will be needing 1200 BAXTER BOXES! (No other boxes will be required). BAXTER Boxes are generally found at hospitals, doctor surgeries etc If you are able to collect these for us and drop off to us at The Little Juddies HQ from next week - That would be an AMAZING HELP TO US!! As unfortunately, we are unable to collect the boxes. I will give updates to how many boxes we still need as the weeks go. We will also be looking to again recruit awesome 'Hamper Captains' VERY soon! The hampers will be much smaller than our large Christmas Hampers we recently delivered, but there will be 300 of them. More information on the Hampers to come soon Please note: There will be NO GENERAL DONATIONS for this next run in May. It will just be the 'Itemised Listed Hampers' This is due to the week long delivery of the run, sorting/packing, logistics etc We will also be again accepting Donations of Pre-Paid Visa Cards for our May Run. 14.01.2022 Hi Everyone =) Yesterday I WON 8 x Tickets for tonight's 'Dive-In Cinema' at Maitland Aquatic Centre. The Movie is 'The Shallows' Rated PG 13+ (a killer SHARK movie to watch while you are floating in Maitland pool lol) But we are unable to go and honestly not sure The Little Juddies would actually enjoy the film or ever swim in a pool again lol So... 11.01.2022 Hi Everyone! B here I would just like everyone to take a quick look at this amazing initiative at Lake Keepit for rural kids. Because kids from these areas are suffering just as much as the adults! They didnt ask for any of it. But have very heavy shoulders also carrying the burden of the devastating realities of drought and fires Our next run in May will be focused on KIDS Our Hampers will be delivered to rural KIDS Because these little people are being affected just... as much as their families & communities, and they need to know that they are not forgotten about either. We hope you are all well and handling this current uncertain situation to the best you can. *** We have made the heartbreaking decision to POSTPONE our upcoming MAY/JUNE Farmers Run *** This is a decision that is not sitting lightly with us, as the drought is NOT over for so many of our countries farmers and producers, and then there is the farming families who have also been affected by the recent devastating fire season and then some areas wi...th flooding In preparation for our upcoming Farmer's Run, we had been communicating with Suzanne Webber. Suzanne is the Gwydir Shire (NSW) Social Services Manager, and we had planned on helping the areas of Gravesend, Upper Horton, North Star and Coolatai NSW, including the mobile preschool which visits these remote areas. We do have some positive news though - Due to the AMAZING generosity of some of our beautiful supporters... Tomorrow morning, I will be sending a whopping $8300 worth of Pre-Paid Visa Cards and IGA Gift Cards to Suzanne, who will be dispursing these cards IMMEDIATELY to the most vulnerable farming families. Thank you so much to everyone who dropped these cards into The Little Juddie HQ over the past few months!! We LOVE you!! And your generosity will mean so much to these farmers during these crazy times <3 If you have ANY questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask. 07.01.2022 Hi Everyone B here! Just wanted to give you all a quick New Year's Update, as we are receiving a lot of Inboxes with the same questions, and many of those regarding the current devastating Bush Fire Crisis. 1. The Little Juddies are not currently collecting donations for the Bush Fire Crisis at this stage.... 2. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept ANY 2nd Hand Donations for any of our Appeals. 3. The Little Juddies are still currently waiting on our Australian Charity Registration. (Believe me. That will be VERY exciting once it comes through! ) 4. Our next BIG Drought Run is scheduled in for May, with details regarding delivery areas to be announced very soon. At this stage, we are looking at a week long period of deliveries to up to 10 Western NSW drought affected areas. 5. We have had lots of beautiful supporters still dropping in to The Little Juddies HQ, Pre-paid Visa Cards & IGA Gift Cards which is just amazing!! Thank you so very much!
