22.01.2022 VALE Mort Douglas Today it is with great sadness that we pay our respects to an absolute icon. Sadly Mort Douglas passed away yesterday aged 85 years. Mort was a true visionary in our industry who has left behind a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.... We all remember those famous tv commercials, red jackets, and larger than life charisma that graced our televisions all those years ago. Mort is admired by all within our industry as a true leader, particularly to us all here at The Living Room with Mort playing a huge part in the ongoing success of our brand since its inception some 12 years ago. Being our trusted landlord, admired friend and a respected mentor Mort has always been one of our biggest supporters for which we feel privileged. We will miss his cheekiness, clever wit and his amazing sense of humour but more importantly his ongoing care and support. We extend our deepest sympathy to Carol, Peter, Marcus, Susie and all the families. You will never be forgotten Mort and thank you for all that you have done for our community and especially all of us here at The Living Room.
