23.01.2022 To celebrate NAIDOC 308 students at Our Lady of Assumption Parish Primary School did a Little Long Walk which was proudly sponsored by the HAPPSA Group. Class by class, the students carried banners made earlier during a cultural workshop with Yarn Steing Sista and exchanged message sticks. The students talked about the importance of NAIDOC and Michael Long’s story. Little Long Walks are a wonderful way for students to increase their understanding, make connections and celebrate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures #wewalktogether #NAIDOC2020 #alwayswasalwayswillbe
