21.01.2022 The Lott Cafe & COVID-19 These are uncertain times, what we should do individually, what we should do as a small business, and what we should do as a community is very unclear. What is clear is that COVID-19 is not a joke. Seeing the vision of military trucks ferrying away corpses as a result of 627 people passing away in Italy in a single day (Friday 20th March), and the fact that someone dies every 10 minutes in Iran is very sobering. Who knows how bad it could get here i...n Australia. When is the time to take decisive action? Listening to the regrets that some of the affected people of Italy shared in a recent video, we at the Lott Cafe family have decided to take decisive action sooner rather than later. What this means is that we will follow the directives of the Australian government. We have implemented the one person per 4 square metre rule, which means we have restricted our indoor dining space from a 92 people capacity to 40 person capacity. We still have an outside dining capacity for around 40 people (you may want to bring a hat). We will be trading regular hours, 7 am to 3 pm Monday-Sunday. We love our customers and remain steadfastly committed to keeping your space open and available to you here at The Lott, it just might be a little different than 'normal', whatever that is!
