25.01.2022 Jess and Rach doubling down this Aus Music T-Shirt Day showing the local love for Edith Lane, RVG and Hachiku! Who are you repping today? We can’t wait to see!... If you have a few spare dollars, you can donate directly to Support Act and help them continue their wonderful work providing crisis relief and mental health & wellbeing support to the thousands of artists, crew and music workers (from all genres) who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 shutdown of the live music industry

13.01.2022 Help out our friends at Wrangler Studios by signing this petition. All details in original Post (which FB just seemed to have ate!) HELP US! ... The Victorian Government recently released a $9mil Live Venue Grant and has helped so many incredible local businesses pay their bills, staff and keep doors open. Unfortunately for Wrangler Studios, you're required a Liquor License to apply. Wrangler has been a DIY project from day one with every additional dollar coming from our pockets. We have no way of making an income until we can open at full capacity, and we need your help! Wrangler Studios is the only NFP volunteer ran venue in Melbourne solely providing a space for kids to feel comfortable attending, playing, booking their first show, recording first EP's or learning the ropes of the music industry. We have held over 100 shows a year, over the last 6 years. Help us by signing the petition in the bio! We really need your help http://chng.it/xT7B5cGjcK

13.01.2022 Welcome to our #fbf series where we will reflect on some artists weve been lucky enough to work with at Love Shack Studios! First up, a band very special to us, Invisible Dears. Thomas Baud, the main force behind Invisible Dears, was a vocal student of Rach (Tender Buttons et al) when he and Jess met almost a decade ago. ... Jess had sworn off ever playing music again (and actually had a five year hiatus), it was meeting Tom that led Jess back to playing guitar, joining Invisible Dears and leading to many more endeavours with bands like Tender Buttons and Edith Lane. The introduction also led to one of the earliest jobs for Love Shack Studios, back in 2013, long before the Newell Street build, in a house that would later become the Yukumbabe residence. Predominantly a mixing gig, a definite highlight was setting up the drum kit in the middle of the living room to record Walking the Cow, the Daniel Johnston cover which features on the Serenade Me to Oblivion EP. Check out Invisible Dears on Bandcamp and Facebook and have a wonderful day out (in). Sending big love and gratitude to you Tom! https://invisibledears.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Invisible-Dears-242960405752231 https://www.loveshackstudios.net/listen

03.01.2022 #throwbackthursday with Vic from Edith Lane and some sweet sweet sounds to make your afternoon joyous #repost @edith.lane.32 Story time and flashback to one of the last recording sessions for the album! @jesscar_13 and @vcamp94 had tried to record a track called Quiet Observation. At some point it was going to get canned because we’d done like...3...maybe more recordings of it,either way it was getting frustrating. Towards the end of the album we decided to give it one m...ore crack, but this time we threw beer into the mix and just ‘winged it’,at least that’s how I remember it. Anyway this is a snippet of a section that had been loosely conceived before, but for the most part was made up in the studio. It forms the base for a few other guitar bits floating around it,but you’ll have to wait for the album to come out before you hear that. Anyway here’s a video of one of those sessions. I think we did a good job on the song too Edith Lane - Eden on the Park OUT NOW!
