25.01.2022 Who has ever felt this? I actually think if we deep dive into most fears & hesitations it all boils down to this. In terms of makeup, I’ve come across too many women who feel like this all the time and they either use makeup as a mask in order to feel good enough or they don’t wear any makeup for fear of not being good enough at it. So my driver is always to show women first of all that makeup need not be scary or intimidating and that it can be fun and easy. And secondly I try to show them that it is okay to just be and love yourself too (imperfections and all!) and to wear makeup for yourself, not for anyone else. How do you feel about the whole makeup thing?
25.01.2022 When you have to go through your children’s dress-up box to find some props, it’s makeup to the rescue! . . The girls were stoked that it stopped raining long enough to go trick or treatin’. Hello sugar high! And hello Arbonne Body Cleanse and Digestion Plus tomorrow
25.01.2022 There is much to be celebrated beautiful peeps! I know the world is still upside-down and topsy-turvy but we survived two weeks in hotel quarantine with our two children with our sanity in tact (though some of these photos suggest otherwise and yes, I made that French knitting my biatch) and after what feels like an eternity have finally moved into our beautiful new home in Gold Coast We bought an outdoor furniture set and a console for our entry hall. I feel so grown...up now! While in quarantine I also celebrated my 6yr anniversary with Arbonne What a pleasure it’s been too. I know not everyone ‘gets’ it but it has brought the most beautiful people and most wonderful experiences into my life (incl some serious growth spurts like tackling my fear of driving and public speaking!) and for that it remains one of the most amazing things I’ve done for myself. Ever. So many people asked me if I’d still be doing my biz once we moved and the answer is always... hell yeah! One of the many beautiful things about an Arbonne biz is that you can run it from anywhere that Arbonne is present. So anywhere in Aus, NZ, US, Canada, UK or Poland until we expand even further. I can also have clients in any of these countries and I am so grateful for all my clients who have supported me over the last 6 years and that I get to continue helping them. How cool is that? If you are in Gold Coast be sure to reach out and say hi xxx @ Gold Coast, Queensland See more

Cheers to all you multi-hat wearers out there slaying this thing called #motherhood See more
18.01.2022 Over the past month or so I’ve had this gentle nudge to just ‘hibernate’ and focus all my love and energy on myself and my family. Which means that apart from the occasional insta story there’s been on my account. Business/brand sacrilege, right?! It has been so refreshing though to just listen to what I needed and not ignore it and forge ahead with what I felt I SHOULD be doing. It didn’t feel selfish... just like the right thing to do for me. One of the best lessons I’v...e learned in this past year is that if there is a ‘should’ attached to any action, it is generally not your own goal/desire/intention but that of someone else. The feeling that you SHOULD go to an event, SHOULD look a certain way, SHOULD do xyz because it is expected of you by someone else (in your own mind or reality). I’m learning to really question myself when that feeling pops up and ask, ‘who am I doing this for and why am I doing it?’ In Alicia Keys’ book More Myself, she talks about a conversation with Oprah where she told Alicia that when you say yes to something, it should always be a HELL YES! When you just know in your bones that it is aligned and the only way forward even if it makes no sense to anyone else, let that be your guide... not the voices in your head parroting old, unhealthy narratives & beliefs. What are you doing right now because you feel like you should? How is it impacting your happiness and overall wellbeing? What have you been avoiding for fear of what others would think? Where in your life have you been shrinking away from being your full/true self because it is not how you SHOULD be behaving? See more
17.01.2022 I always say ‘beauty is spirit and makeup is art’. Makeup is a fun way to get creative and explore different aspects of your personality. Do you need it to be beautiful though? Heck no! If you would however learn how to apply your makeup with confidence in a way that feels really good to you and allows you to truly shine (whether you use 2 products or 20!), come and join my online makeup masterclass this weekend. We kick off tonight at 7pm Sydney time and I’ll go live for demos a few times over the weekend as well as post some how-to videos but everything will be available to view and rewatch for a week afterwards. They are fun. They are informative. We have giveaways. You can wear your pyjamas and no bra and drink wine while doing it. What’s not to love?! DM me for the link to access the group on FB xx
15.01.2022 Who wore it best? . . Was playing around with some easy-literally-anyone-can-do-it Halloween makeup looks to share in our client page later this week and this was just too funny. .... . Are you ‘doing’ Halloween this year? Are outfits and makeup sorted? See more
12.01.2022 What would it feel like to be told to quarantine or isolate in a home that isn’t safe? Unimaginable! And yet domestic violence is on the rise. Globally women are suffering at the hands of their partners every single day and it is not okay. If you want to know how you can drive change but don’t know where to start, I invite you to follow @empoweringleadingwomen and join them on their global live webinar this coming Saturday, 8th August at 7pm. They are raising awareness and they need our support. These women may feel unheard and unseen but we need to let them know that #wehearyou and #weseeyou and beyond that we are standing with them in the fight for the their lives. From little things big things grow... let’s not underestimate what we can do collectively
12.01.2022 I don’t always play circus but when I do... . . . Don’t take yourself too seriously peeps. Play with your kids and like you’re a kid more often. Delight your inner child. .... . We can get so caught up in being ‘grown-ups’ that we completely forget we were once kidlets too with wild imaginations, a sense of wonder & awe and the ability to be truly present and just have fun. . . How would your kids react if you did something totally unexpected and cray-cray? Do you often set out to surprise and delight them? See more
11.01.2022 Is Christmas in September a thing? Cause it sure feels like it! Arbonne has just launched its new vegan AgeWell skincare and to say it is GOOOOOOOOOD is an understatement. It is based on Ayurvedic medicine and its star ingredient is an ancient herb called Bakuchiol, a plant based retinol, that is proven to be just as effective as retinol, more gentle on the skin and can be used day and night. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!! . . Beautiful people, on a more serious note, it seriou...sly warms my heart that we are not only launching a product line that looks luxurious while being sustainable but also that we are reframing the traditional approach to ageing. We don’t need to be anti-ageing. Let’s focus on ageing well instead by combining a healthy approach to skin, body and mind. Thank you @arbonne @arbonneaunz for leading the way to self love & acceptance, sustainability & passion-led purpose. #livewellagewell See more
11.01.2022 Challenge accepted. . . Thank you for the nomination/s beautiful women @olganaumovski @tatjanawalton @thelifeofellabella @countrycityvibe
08.01.2022 Happy Halloween beautiful peeps! This is not a day we grew up celebrating in South Africa. As far as we knew it was something that only happened in America. And we were sooo jealous! Because what kid doesn’t like to dress up and get candy?! So I can’t help but make up for lost time and get into it with my kids. . . Tonight also happens to be full moon! The second one of the month making it a Blue Moon. Apparently that only happens every 2.5yrs hence the saying ‘once in a blu...e moon’. . . Have a sensational weekend whether you dress up, eat a tonne of candy, dance under the moonlight, give thanks, watch scary movies or simply do nothing at all. See more
07.01.2022 How is this for a blast from the past? See if you can spot me (hint: I wasn’t born a redhead ). I’ve spent the last few days reminiscing after a beautiful family friend from my early years passed away and I just feel so grateful for all the wonderful memories I have of some pretty epic childhood friendships and adventures. It’s so easy to focus on the things we didn’t have, the things we weren’t taught, the places we didn’t get to go, the sh*t we had to go through ... and yet, there was so much magic. Here’s to remembering the magic
06.01.2022 Makeup need not be complicated nor does it have to take ages. Concealer, bronzer and brow products are probably the top 3 least used by clients when they first walk in to one of my masterclasses, but always becomes a firm fave afterwards because they get to see the difference it makes but also because I show them how to do it super easy. . . And yep, my ouma used to put lipstick on our cheeks when we played dress ups and it’s still a neat little trick especially if you’re a ...bit matchy-matchy like me . . If you’re in the Gold Coast shoot me a message if you’d be interested in having a masterclass with your friends. For everyone else there is always online!! So don’t let a little thing like distance get in the way of a fun time with friends and makeup confidence See more
06.01.2022 Next online masterclass is running this weekend with the first live tutorial kicking off at 7:30pm on Friday evening. Whether you use 2 products or 20, you will learn something and have some fun with it. Ask yourself, who taught you how to do makeup? How do you feel about your skill set? Are you confident with what you are doing? How does your makeup make you feel? The feedback has been wonderful. For some it has been small changes they’ve made to application techniques and f...or others it has been the whole kit-and-kaboodle. Sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know. Pop a comment or send me DM if you’d like to be added to the masterclass. Oh... and it’s free! With some giveaways sprinkled in along with a tonne of value . . . Open to peeps in Aus, NZ, America, Canada, UK & Poland. If you are a consultant or already have a consultant please check in with your crew about fun events they may be running. @ Sydney, Australia See more
03.01.2022 They say ‘change is as good as a holiday’. Well, we’ve got a big one coming as we’re moving to Goldie! In 3 weeks we are packing up our little fam and moving to our beautiful new home. The whole process of selling our place and finding a new home has been interesting to say the least and at every corner the universe had something else in store for us. We would have never imagined we’d end up in Goldie but now that it is happening we are so excited. It just feels right. Cheers to new adventures! And thank goodness for technology so I can stay in touch with all my beautiful friends and clients!
01.01.2022 Today I had a glorious beach date with my friend @tatjanawalton . We ate the best Pain au Chocolate from Mrs Jones and we quite literally moaned with pleasure and delighted in the flaky, buttery pastry and beautiful dark chocolate. We savoured every bite and it was so freakin’ amazing and there was zero guilt. A few years ago Tatjana taught me such an important lesson about food and the guilt that is often associated with eating a ‘treat’. She said something along the lines ...of: ‘Anke, you are a f*cking grown up woman and you decide what you put into your mouth. So if you have made the decision to eat some chocolate cake at least ENJOY the f*cking chocolate cake! Eat it mindfully and be fully present for it because guilt is such a wasted emotion.’ We store negative emotions in our bodies so why carry that extra ‘weight’? There is obviously a difference though if you are emotionally eating to fill a void in which case it is a good idea to identify the triggers and find healthier ways to give your body what it is longing for. But peeps, it is time to stop with the guilt... the food guilt, the mum guilt, the past guilt, the future guilt... all of it. . . Love you my friend! Will miss our beach walks & talks but thank goodness for technology! See more
