17.01.2022 Given the current climate, the committee have had to make the very difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Westech Field Days. The new dates will be the 7th & 8...th of September 2021. This decision was not made lightly and we apologise for the inconvenience. However, we felt that our duty of care, to not only our sponsors, exhibitors and patrons, but also to our local community, left us little choice. The committee extends their best wishes to you and your families, that you stay safe and well, and we hope to see you in 2021! Please help us get the word out and share, share, share!!!

17.01.2022 My dad would have been 92 today. How I would have loved to have known him as I was just 12 when he died so like this photo my memories are faded. I'm forever grateful to those in my life that have shared his stories and life with me.. Never forget to share memories as it keeps our loved ones that left us too soon, alive and for some that is all we have. Happy Birthday Dad.

11.01.2022 Let me tell you about the White Dog of Hope: Townsville woman, Robin Strang is on a quest to bring HOPE to others, after her 25-year-old son Rodney took his lif...e in April 2018. She wants to bring HOPE to young people like her son who are struggling with dark times. She wants to bring HOPE to family and friends of those who struggle, and help them find a light that will guide them through unchartered ground, just as she and her family have had to do. Robin’s friend and artist, Anna Mango, has gifted Robin with an image of a little White Dog of Hope, which has become her icon of HOPE. When you allow HOPE, you acknowledge that there is the potential for something positive to happen in the future, even though you may have no idea how that can happen. HOPE does not offer a particular outcome, and is not reliant on certainty. Desmond Tutu once said that ‘HOPE is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness’. Robin & friends (that's me) are beginning where they are, and pooling resources they have at hand, to firstly create a published book, 'WHITE DOG OF HOPE'.
