24.01.2022 Last Sunday we added our 11th match of the season to our list and we had the good fortune of winning seats in a corporate suite thanks to Hunter Melanoma Foundation! And what a match of Hyundai A-League it was with goals a plenty between Newcastle Jets & Central Coast Mariners

24.01.2022 After a washed out first semi saw India through to the final and England out in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 we are underway in the other semifinal between South Africa and Australia It’s wet but here’s hoping for a result as The Mad Sports Fan hits their 18th event of 2020!

14.01.2022 Covid has slowed us down at The Mad Sports Fan but we are still getting out (and maintaining social distancing) where we can. Tonight it is event 23 as Newcastle Jets host Western United FC at McDonald Jones Stadium on a crisp Sunday night

12.01.2022 We managed to make it to our 10th event of the year last night as we braced ourselves for a deluge of rain that never eventuated and we were treated to a solid Super Rugby match between NSW Waratahs & Auckland Blues

10.01.2022 Our List is up to date to wrap February, we are well on track to knock 50 events out of the park so have reset the goal at 75! Only 59 more live sporting events to get to in 2020! 10.01.2022 It has been very quiet at The Mad Sports Fan of late! Covid has taken a real hammer to our goals, we might have to revise back to our original target of 50 sporting events for the calendar year, we currently sit at 21 and with Government announcements that crowds of up to 10,000 are allowed back into ground from July 1, we will be chomping at the bit. Let us know what event/game/venue you think we should attend?!?

06.01.2022 The List as it stands sets out the events that we had intended to get to prior to the government announcement that non-essential gatherings of 500 or more should not proceed and subsequent decisions by sporting bodies to either suspend their competitions or play behind closed doors. As such for the interim this list will remain as is until we know the updated scenarios for matches moving forwards.
