25.01.2022 When Salsa and Pickle take the lawn mower for a spin.....

25.01.2022 Beautiful spring flowers

24.01.2022 Cucumbers coming in hot!! A record for us to have in the first week of October.... nursing these baby’s in the sauna on those cold winter nights really paid off for an early start!! Unfortunately there is only enough for personal consumption right now, but hopefully surplus coming soon!!

23.01.2022 That’s right bello, we dropped off a huge load of greens and herbs at Kombu today! Super fresh & nutrient dense!

23.01.2022 My dabbling in flowers continues with these pretty bunches being sent to @bellingenfarmersproducers yesterday. They went quick!

22.01.2022 Bursting at the seams. Just when we thought our coolroom worries were forever sorted... feeling a bit too cramped in here produce today to @northarmfarms_nv boxes, @bellingenfarmersproducers markets, @kombuwholefoods, @hearthfire_bakery and @the_food_shed in Armidale ... what a day!

22.01.2022 We have been so pleased with our harvest of Glenlarge garlic. This variety has been bred up in southern Queensland and is one of the few ‘true garlic’ varieties that can be grown in the subtropics and can handle warm weather. It’s got that punchy strong flavour that true garlics have, we’ve missed it after eating mellow Russian for so long! It’s also been great to fill the spring garlic gap - when all the local Russian has run out, and the new stuff won’t be around til Christmas. We have about a months supply of this beautiful purple stuff left... We will bring a heap to @bellingenfarmersproducers this Wednesday... come try it at the @northarmfarms_nv stall.

21.01.2022 We are set up at Gladstone! Did you know it’s the first market Tom and I have done together in about a year!? It’s weird, but great! Come on down and see the both of us and a bounty of fresh veg !

16.01.2022 A sad but true poem....

16.01.2022 Wanna see some silverbeet and ruby chard bigger than my arms?? In fact about as long as my legs?? 10.01.2022 Our first crop of Glen Large garlic harvested today! Pretty impressed with this garlic, nice sized bulbs for a true garlic in the sub tropics and packs a punchy garlic flavour. Hanging to cure right now and we reckon it will be ready to sell in a week or two! Stay tuned #garlic #glenlarge #nambuccavalley #midnorthcoast #bowrasbigbulb

10.01.2022 MACLEAY VALLEY!! We’re coming back!! That’s right, @themandarinbend will be back at Gladstone market this Sunday after nearly two years away! These photos are from Gladstone market in our first year of growing. We were both on different farms, I was based near Port Macquarie, Tom in the Nambucca. So cute looking at all these photos...so many baskets, props, small volumes of so many unique things! Fast forward three years later and we are pumping out so much more epic veggies...... so much so that we are coming back to Gladstone as we have such surplus! Come on down this Sunday and stock up extra fresh organic veg. We will have a great diversity and will bring some other goodies from our local farmer friends. See you Sunday! #macleayvalley #macleayvalleycoast #gladstone #kempsey #southwestrocks #crescentheadnsw #midnorthcoast #midnorthcoastnsw #eatlocal See more

10.01.2022 Another year, another radicchio fail! 3 beds and barely any radicchio, a few nice heads ... but mostly we have tiny baby things or ones that didn’t even form up heads. I think we planted too late this year and spaced to wide...Anyone got any hot tips on how to grow please hit me up!! When is everyone planting? I’m in sub tropics but frosty cold nights in winter.... #radicchio

08.01.2022 Stall on point at @bellingengrowersmarket, come on down to the old location within the Showgrounds!! I’m next to @hearthfire_bakery ... so dangerous !! #bello #bellingen

06.01.2022 Cute puppies supervising today’s coriander harvest, bringing smiles in between the pain...Huge day today for Tom and myself without our friend Faith who usually works on harvest day with us. With the two of us we harvested/washed/cleaned for boxes, markets, shops for nearly 12 hrs with just a quick lunch break.... ouch! Please come to @bellingenfarmersproducers tomorrow and buy all our veggies so that we feel it was all worth it... thanks!!

06.01.2022 Sunday lunch at @themandarinbend.... roasted kipflers grown by Ian in Guyra, our broccoli roasted... plus radicchio and cos lettuce salad dressed with black garlic & truffle vinegar from Sweet Water Farm, topped with blue cheese & toasted hazelnuts. Deliciously wholesome! Finally found a way to enjoy radicchio... blue cheese is the key to cut through the bitterness!

02.01.2022 Two sunrises in a row for @themandarinbend. This morning we’re on route to Gladstone markets....The best thing about doing morning markets is driving out of depths of the Valley over the rolling green hills with fog sitting low on The Valley floor, the beautiful orange tones ahead to the east. Makes me feel better about getting up so early! So come down and see us at Gladstone today, gonna be a cracker day and we’ve got loads of goodness, including produce from @sohip_organics #kempsey #crescenthead #macleayvalley #midnorthcoast #midnorthcoastnsw #macleayvalleyfoodbowl

01.01.2022 Summer vibes on the farm today, first day of October and we harvested our first two zucchini of the season, and our first two cucumbers have been pollinated... woohoo!

01.01.2022 The biggest worm I’ve seen in our garden popped out when broadforking... intact thankfully! Worms are some of Mother nature’s finest creations, improving soil for us, all day every day! Thanks worms
