18.01.2022 THE SONIKS ARE BACK TOMORROW NIGHT! The Soniks are a Sydney-based pop/rock covers band featuring Clayton, Johnny, Tom and Gerry! They have featured on The Merc stage for close to a decade and tomorrow night they are back with a full band for the first time since Covid as the Great Southern Nights initiative across NSW continues! This is not a gig to be missed, catch them on stage from 6pm.

10.01.2022 TONIGHT- Shaylee Wilde, Mercantile legend and Tamworth Country Music Festival artist joins us as part of Great Southern Nights initiative to support local musicians across NSW. A little about the one and only Shaylee Wilde: Born in Dublin, Shaylee emigrated to Australia in 1976 after spending three years in Europe supporting artists such as Cliff Richard, The Chieftains and The Dubliners. She went on to play all major pubs and clubs along the East Coast of NSW & QLD. Her ba...nds included The Shaylee Wild Explosion, and the 80’s style techno pop band, China Doll, securing a world wide record deal 1984 with RCA records. With the proliferation of Irish venues opening up across NSW, Shaylee returned to her Irish Heritage and with her Shaylee Wilde Band became one of Australia's most successful Irish bands. Over the years, Shaylee has supported all the leading Irish entertainers to tour Australia, including Brendan Grace, Paddy Reilly, Hal Roach to name a few. Since 1986, Shaylee has been a resident entertainer at The Mercantile Hotel and she is still going strong!
