23.01.2022 Another rainy day so no training today. The mats are too wet. Starting this week training will commence on Thursdays 4.30 -6 until light gets better and Sundays training with time to be confirmed.

17.01.2022 Cricket training is on tomorrow and Thursday nights for all current and new keen players. With the start of the season just around the corner (14 Oct) its time to roll the arm over hit few balls around and get keen to board the TITAN Train for the 17/18 season. 09.01.2022 Hi all, Bar will be open this Thursday for training and meals. All players and families welcome. All intending players this our last week before decision on how many teams the club will play with this season. If you are wanting to play please turn up or let a committee member know for Thursday.

08.01.2022 Cricket today Cricket is still on,with a possible shower forecast,but mostly sun/cloud for the day .All teams are to report to grounds and then decision on star...t of play etc will be made by umpire/captains.The below wet weather rules apply . 1)Wet weather committee will discuss if weather indicates that games should be cancelled,this decision will be made with all parties in mind (canteens,players travel ,safety etc) and advised on here as soon as possible.If weather forecasts indicate that it is to clear later to enable conditions for play ,this will be taken into consideration. 2)Umpires make decisions on when play may take place .Captains may be consulted in this process. 3)The rest is as per By law 50 below a) The decision of whether matches commence will be the sole responsibility of the Wet Weather Committee. b) If a match is cancelled by the Wet Weather Committee, scoresheets/teamsheets are not required. If games commence then called off later in the day ,scoresheets are to be handed in as normal. c) If matches are cancelled owing to wet weather all Clubs will be notified through Sea FM Radio Station,or posted on the MVCA Facebook site as soon as the decision has been made d) Any game that commences and reaches a result, the points shall count even if other games are washed out in that grade e) If rain delays the start of a game more than 30 minutes or are lost in total after the game has commenced the game must be played until (6.30pm A grade ),(5.50pm A res),(5.10pm B Grade ) unless the two captains agree to abandon the game. The captains and umpire may agree to reduce the number of overs to be bowled i.e. 1 over each side reduced for each 8 minutes lost, however a game must consist of at least 80% of overs i.e.( A grade 80 overs, A Reserve 72 overs, B Grade 64 overs)( for it to be recognized as a game). ONCE 30 MINS HAS BEEN LOST AND OVERS HAVE BEEN RECALCULATED FOR PLAY TO COMMENCE ANY FURTHER INTERRUPTIONS DOES NOT INVOLVE RECALCULATION OF OVERS. The side batting first will bat until the reduced amount of overs has been achieved. The side batting second will then bat until the same amount of overs or to the finishing time. If the reduced amount of overs are not faced by the side batting second before finishing time the game will result in a draw.If there are further delays no further reductions of overs will occur The umpire will re-calculate amount of overs per bowler upon loss of overs through interruption e.g. 42 overs (2 X 9 and 3 X 8) f) In rain affected games, overs are expected to be bowled at No less than 15 overs per hour (4 mins per over)as per all Calculations for overs reductions and play finishing times g) If the two captains cannot agree as to whether a game shall be abandoned, it becomes the responsibility of the umpire(s). Score sheets still have to be submitted if a game is abandoned.

08.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE Nietta have forfeited tomorrow’s A-Reserve game. Tomorrow’s B Grade game will now be played at Turners Beach NOT Forth.... Let’s all get to the club and support our B Grade boys or head out to Port Sorell to show your support to the A Grade boys. There will be a bbq at the club tomorrow night after the games.
