09.01.2022 South Australia have overturned a requirement that border community residents entering the state from Victoria for an essential reason have a COVID-19 test from the previous seven days. "Essential Travellers who fall within the category of Cross Border Community member no longer are required to submit to COVID-19 testing," an overnight update said. The SA cross border corridor extends 70km.... Victorians remain on stage 4 restrictions and should not travel more than 5km unless for one of the four reasons to leave home.
06.01.2022 Mask rules will return to pre-Christmas levels from 11.59pm Sunday. As cases re-emerged in Victoria last month, masks became required whenever indoors. But from next week the rules will revert back to being asked to carry masks at all times and to wear them at indoor shopping centres, supermarkets and other larger stores such as Kmart or Bunnings.... 02.01.2022 CHECKPOINT NOT FOR QUESTIONS Mildura police are advising the community to not approach any of the border checkpoints on foot. This follows several incidents of people bypassing barricades and walking towards oncoming traffic to seek clarification on the border closures.... On the Eyewatch page, police said this was dangerous and puts both the community and police officers at risk. People with questions about border closures in Victoria or the permit system can visit the Victorian Government's coronavirus website or call the 24/7 Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398.
