23.01.2022 It is with great regret that I must close down my store, due to an unnerving lack of business. If you wish to purchase any books, research, photos, medals or militaria, then this would be the time for it.

21.01.2022 So, after a military research enquiry, I have spent the last day or so, recording photos in WWI newspapers. It pays to be thorough, so I am slowly working in the spare time through The Sun, a paper based in Kalgoorlie. I came across this photo, and just had to share it, made me laugh! Coolgardie is just outside Kalgoorlie, a lively little place. Im tipping that even the dead did vote in this competition. You need to CLICK on the photo to see it in its entirety.... Enjoy !!!!

19.01.2022 I have now completed indexing "The Australian Worker", the journal of the Australian Workers Union. Sadly, not all editions are available, however, there are still a lot of photos available. If your ancestor was a shearer, labourer, or otherwise union active, there is a good chance I have them. There is a disproportionate percentage of country NSW & Vic.

19.01.2022 I have been adding a few more books to the shop of late. Get in while they last! Remember, if you are chasing a particular book, ask, as there are literally 1000's. I have highlighted 2 which are both cheap and great reads.

15.01.2022 With a sudden burst of energy, I have added another 600 odd names to the photo database. Mainly NSW & WA men. Now over 26,000 logged. As an example, I have completed up to April 1916 of the Evening News of Sydney. Also a fair chunk of The Sun of Kalgoorlie. If you need to find a photo, why not see if we have it?

14.01.2022 Clearing out the shelves, and have many unit histories available for sale. They range from the Boer War through to modern conflicts, including a fine selection of WWI & WWII first editions. I have included a few of the rare titles below. Prices will be better than available anywhere else, for equivalent books.... Get in while the bargains still exist. Postage at cost. Payment via Direct Deposit or Paypal.

13.01.2022 Been a long hard slog, but I have now finished the 1915 & 1916 runs of the Evening News. I have found several photos, that hitherto, have proved elusive to all searches. Forging ahead with 1917 now.......... Am open at this stage, as to the next major assignment after this one. Happy to take suggestions!

12.01.2022 Chasing a great coat? I have possibly one of the best of them around. It is a named officers great coat, complete with Australian Army Service Corps brass buttons, and Captain's pips. A bargain at $100 plus postage. Be warned though, this is pure quality, and is very heavy!

09.01.2022 Interesting article

08.01.2022 A photo titled "Calling up the Single Men" - published in October 1916

08.01.2022 I have just created the Shop function on the page. With a bit of luck, it works! I will be adding many books to the shop over the next few days and weeks. If there is a particular book you are chasing, or if you want honest advice on what to get, I shall do my best to help you.

08.01.2022 Just doing a bit of promotion for those that may be interested. The 2/33rd Association is an active and helpful organisation, so if you have an interest, why not drop by and Like them! https://www.facebook.com/2.33Bn/?fref=nf

02.01.2022 Poor photo quality - comes with the territory - but shows the tallest man in the AIF - 2721 Private Patrick O'Connor, 56th Bn. His height was a whopping 7'4", weighed 21 stone and had size 19 boots. Also stated he was hard to get a uniform to fit. Interesting note in his files, states they wouldn't allow him on the front line, stating he was too big a target!
