25.01.2022 Its been a mad few weeks for us here at @themilkbarrel! We were awarded Grand Champion in the Alternative Milk competition at the Perth Royal Food Awards Gala for our Dark Chocolate Gelato. We could not be any more thrilled with the amazing result and want to thank everyone who has supported us over the last three years. It is also the perfect time for us to announce we will once again be exhibiting in the Dairy Pavilion at this years Perth Royal Show - it all kicks off in a couple of weeks and we cant wait to see everyone there!!

Our award winning durian gelato will be available in single serve and large take home tubs, so why not come give this King of Fruits a try? 23.01.2022 Hi everyone! Just a quick note to say that we will be closed after trading on Sunday, 22 July 2018 (or until our stocks run out), while we take a little break to rest and recharge. We will reopen on Saturday, 18 August 2018, and resume our regular trading hours thereafter, with the exception of: - Monday, 20 August 2018 (closed) - Monday, 28 August 2018 (closed)... Whats included? - As much of our award-winning gelato as you can eat for an hour and a half; - A complimentary drink of your choice (any coffee, tea or other beverage from our drinks list); and... - If you cant get enough of our gelato, 20% off our take home tubs. 16.01.2022 We have a new flavour in store and boy is this one a ripper! If you havent guessed already from the pic, yes our new DURIAN gelato is now available! Durian is known as the King of fruits in its native South East Asia, and has a particularly pungent aroma and unique (read: acquired) taste. We keep this baby sealed tight away from our regular gelato in the cabinet so ask one of our friendly staff if youre keen to give it a try!

12.01.2022 We had a great night at the 2019 Perth Royal Food Awards presentation! @themilkbarrel took home: - Champion Gelato - Champion Sorbet - Champion Alternative Milk (Vegan) Gelato - Best Small Other Dairy Product Maker ... with a total of 14 Golds and 4 Silvers. Were so thrilled and humbled by the result, and want to say a giant thank you to RASWA and all our amazing and supportive customers who keep us going!

10.01.2022 And were back - almost! Were so excited to be reopening after our break this Saturday, 18 August, and have been busy churning gelato all day long. Heres a sneak peak at one of our most popular flavours fresh out of the churner - our strawberry sorbet made with beautifully fresh and sweet strawberries, and is also dairy and gluten free!

10.01.2022 Our special VEGAN double delight is back this weekend - our Piedmont Hazelnut and Dark Chocolate gelato made with our own store made hazelnut milk (no commercially processed nut milks to be found here)! Try them separately or why not roll them together for an extra delicious scoop!
