10.01.2022 4-7-8 Breath A great breathing exercise for when you feel yourself getting stressed, anxious, flustered, nervous, wound up, frazzled or overwhelmed. I ha...ve turned to this breathing technique many times as I find it helps me become more calm and grounded (and make better decisions!) It is aimed to get you into a more relaxed state of mind and can be useful if you find yourself struggling to get to sleep. Give it a go!

08.01.2022 Mindful eating aka "slow down buddy!" Too many of us eat our meals in a hurry, on the go, in front of the TV or our phones and don't actually take time to reall...y appreciate our food. In the past I used to eat my lunch super quick in front of a computer at work which would lead me to getting belly aches and bloating. I would get no satisfaction from the food I was eating as to me it was just "fuel" to get me through the busy day. I've since learned how to slow down and really appreciate the food I am consuming. Because really.. food is delicious! I want to savour every bite these days Try the follow mindful eating tips for your next meal: 1. Eat slowly and without distractions 2. Engage your senses by noticing colours, smells, sounds, textures, and flavours 3. Chew thoroughly 4. Appreciate your food (tasty right!) Eating mindfully also allows us to check in with ourselves and notice when we have reached that 'fullness' stage and to not overeat. Try it out and notice how you feel
