14.01.2022 This day was a long time coming, 6.5 years in the motherf###ing making. At 11:56am this morning, I officially completed my Bachelor of Psychological Science. Now that was a beautiful and tough experience. Where I didn’t just learn about psych, but new limits to push through. And I get t walk away with pride, knowing I worked hard as hell and it all paid off.

12.01.2022 I thought this could be fitting for anyone experiencing a tough time at the moment It’s the anniversary of my initial eye appointment, where I learnt the significant vision loss I was experiencing was quite and obviously abnormal. 10 years on, and legally blind with 10% of the vision I once had, I reckon you could say I’m still doing ok. In fact, I’m happy to say I’m doing better than what I ever thought possible. Which makes me genuinely grateful for the experiences I’ve h...ad throughout my life, that have ultimately provided me with the resilience to bounce back from anything that might knock me down. Here’s to living with a ‘disability’, but saying ‘F##k you’ to being disabled. Remember speed humps are there to slow you down, not f###ing stop you. Stay safe in this time, Jamie.

04.01.2022 Had the absolute pleasure and privilege today of being able to ring families of lucky students (from the school at which I work) that had been winners of a prize draw we had been running this term for the most engaged and hard-working students. On each occasion after I gave one of the parents a heads up of what I was going to announce, they gathered the whole family around the youngest to the oldest, and put me on loudspeaker and I was able to announce it in front of the whole family that their child has been such a hard worker this term that they were getting quite a significant prize. The student’s were speechless, the parents were either speechless or nearly crying or cheering. Great moment to be a part of with these families, especially at this time. Crazy good end, to a crazy ass term
