20.01.2022 On 11 November 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after four years of continuous warfare. Each year on this day Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. The Money Edge team have shared some photos of relatives we give thanks and gratitude to for their services.

It’s not always possible to like everyone because everyone is different with unique values, dynamics and expectations. While you can’t change a person, you can take steps to minimise your stress and improve your working relationships. The key is to remember, you can’t change them, but you can change your response to them. For more read our blog in the link below. https://www.themoneyedge.com.au//dealing-with-difficult-p/

10.01.2022 Today is National Ag Day! Now in its 4th year, Ag Day is proudly supported by the National Farmers Federation. NFF president Fiona Simson said COVID-19 had highlighted how lucky Australia was to have to a strong and vibrant agricultural sector which makes Ag Day particularly relevant this year. "Despite coming off one of the worst droughts on record, coupled with bushfires and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, farmers have continued to have our backs, producing food and fiber... and keeping our supermarket shelves stacked," she said. "Now, farmers and the bush are working harder than ever to put Australia back on the road to recovery, creating jobs and supercharging the economy." Today in the office we had a team lunch showcasing the local ingredients we can source from our region. We are so lucky to have and work with such wonderful Ag clients who are so passionate about what they do!

08.01.2022 A common question we are often asked is, what is the best way to take money out of my company? There are three options: 1. Repayment of loan - if your company owes you money you can repay this with no tax implications. ... 2. Wages - you can pay yourself reasonable wages. Remember 9.5% super is payable plus PAYG must be withheld. 3. Dividends - if the company has made a profit the directors can declare a dividend. Franking credits can attach to the dividend depending upon how much tax has been paid by the company. You should discuss with your accountant as to which option is best for you as there is no one size fits all. See more
