24.01.2022 March 11 is HANDS UP FOR CANBERRA GIVING DAY! Help UnitingCare Kippax and your other favourite organisations by donating through Hands Across Canberra.

22.01.2022 The Canberra Relief Network is a collaboration of organisations, funded by the ACT Government and led by UnitingCare Kippax. The team is burning the midnight oil, to roll out food relief hampers and other non-perishable essentials, early next week to vulnerable Canberrans, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

22.01.2022 "...in these crazy times that we're in with the coronavirus, LET'S TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER." "Let's not go to the lowest common denominator and ge...t paranoid. Let's do our due diligence, take the precautions we need to take care of ourselves and those of us around us." "...More than ever before, we're ALL MORE DEPENDENT ON EACH OTHER than we ever have been. We have an enemy in coronavirus that is faceless, that is raceless, sexless, non-denominational and bipartisan, and it's an enemy that we all agree we want to beat. We want to beat and we're going to beat." "...THERE IS A GREEN LIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS RED LIGHT...that green light is going to be BUILT UPON THE VALUES WE ENACT NOW...FAIRNESS, KINDNESS, ACCOUNTABILITY, RESILIENCE, RESPECT, COURAGE." "If we practice those things right now, when we get out of this, this virus, this time might be the one time that brings us all together and unifies us like we have not been in a long time" - Matthew McConoughey's inspirational message, shared on his social media sites.

21.01.2022 An update on the SPARK program and courses offered. https://www.facebook.com/Ginninderry/videos/2361664057467688/ Hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourself, your families and loved ones. We are looking forward to more restrictions lifting and looking forward to seeing everyone face to face one day (sooner than later!).

20.01.2022 Big news at Mill House, our CEO, Cindy Reese Mitchell is ACT Woman of the Year! Congratulations to all the women who were recognised at the ACT Women's Awards... and Honour Roll. We extend that recognition to all the women in Canberra and the region who are selflessly working for social, cultural, economic and/or environmental change. 20.01.2022 We're here to help! We're doing things just a little different at UCK, as you and the rest of the world have been doing things just a little different, as well. Our centre is still open for walk-ins, but we keep to social distancing and guidelines around other restrictions. You may come across some friendly faces - Sylvie from Case Management and Keira-Lee from Newpin are on-site on some days to help with EMFA and other support needed on those days. Thank you, ladies! ... CASE MANAGEMENT is still accepting referrals, to support individuals and families, experiencing a lot of complex needs. Contact Heli, [email protected]. EMERGENCY MATERIAL & FINANCIAL AID (EMFA) - Individuals and families seeking emergency food relief will be asked to contact the Canberra Relief Network (canberrarelief.com.au or 1800 43 11 33), request for a food hamper, with the option to choose UCK/EMFA as the distribution point. Our EMFA team has the capacity to provide counselling support and referrals to other organisations, with contact limited to phone calls. Contact 6254 1733 to discuss your support needs.
