24.01.2022 Beauty. I am reading a book on Art Therapy that discusses how the art establishment shies away from art that focuses on beauty for fear of being shallow. Hmmm. On the other hand, it said, beautiful art talks to us of hope. With all that is going in the world, isnt hope and our intense need to be surrounded by beauty, love and nature what we really want? 21.01.2022 I found this bedroom design on the internet and couldnt resists showing a before an after. Bedrooms in India and throughout the Middle east, tend to be quite luxuriant. 21.01.2022 What is Minimalism? Minimalism began predominantly in America as a Western art movement. Starting post World War 2 and throughout the 1960s and 70s it was a way to declutter the physical space to make room for things that would enrich your life. In other words, to cleanse your life of that which hindered your goals and peace of mind. So, minimalism is about living with intention. The problem, I feel is, that in this modern world we need BOTH Minimalism and we need more ...love and indeed a greater connection to nature. Art provides that connection in that it can suggest nature and love in the most direct or minimalistic fashion within the language of simplified interior design. Like, this Glass Mural for a stairwell. Where there was plain, now there is beauty and a sense of nature and lightheartedness. Id love to hear your thoughts and if you agree! 15.01.2022 10 SHORT DIY DCOR LESSONS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SMALL SPACE Small homes arent a problem when you work the space using some clever facts. 1. Green and Yellow are both receding colours that will create the illusion of more space! ... 2. Use verticle lines in your decor drapes, palnts, patterns, artwork shapes etc to create the illusion of higher ceilings 3. Reduce the use of circles and curves to the bare minimum as these shapes will create a more cluttered looking space 4. You can have bright colours, but keep them to smaller shapes and not too many colours. 3 is ample. 5. A white and natural colour palette with green is excellent for small spaces 6. De-clutter and set up storage solutions. 7. De-cluttering includes small photos/artworks hanging on your walls. Group these into sets and hang in the smallest and most intimate parts of your home i.e. hallway, stairwell and not the lounge or formal entry! 8. Do have a focal point artwork in your larger spaces so they unite the decor and create your Wow! factor. 9. Dress your larger walls to their proportion. This means larger art again. Large art that incorporates a distant view, in keeping with your decor style, will create the illusion of more space. 10. Watch your furniture clutter! The rule of thumb is 2/3rds space to 1/3rd furniture; not the reverse.

Even better, green is a receding hue, therefore, it creates the illusion of more space! In an large space, like restaurants and open plan kitchen-living areas, this splashback has added calmness and luxury.

13.01.2022 Got a small garden? So many of us live in townhouses now. I remember living in a "2 up 2 down" in London - Richmond to be exact! We had a tiny terrace garden which was fantastic for parties because everyone was squished in! Then again, on days off, it was so lovely. A bit like this garden, without the Moveable Outdoor Mural! Happy memories indeed. PS. That cottage living room, with its lovely little fireplace also had grass green carpet. It made the space feel bigger, warm and fresh. Just gorgeous!

This means splashbacks have to be fire, water, mould, mildew, crack and pest resistant. Also, lightfast. We have 4 options: Our premium outcome, Real Art Splashbacks through Tailored Artworks, and then The Mural Shop has Printed Splashbacks. Both of these require 6mm thick toughened glass. ... A Real Art Splashback further away from the heat source than 200mm, can go without glass and merely be triple sealed. Additionally, there is Art into Mosaic and Tile Murals. Mosaic, has the grout but is extremely long-lasting and scrubbable. Mosaic and Tile Murals are simpler systems for splashbacks that wrap around corners!
