17.01.2022 IMPORTANT POST Due to a recent issue, the Murray Pioneer would like to clarify a few things in relation to our relationship with Grant Schwartzkopff and our support for him. Grant is a fantastic asset to not only the Riverland sporting community, but the region as a whole. We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to be able to use his outstanding photos each week in the paper. With this in mind, we were disappointed to hear of recent poor behaviour towards Grant.... Although we do utilise a number of his photos each week, we would like to make it clear that he in no way benefits financially from the Murray Pioneer with any payment. Grant puts in the countless hours and covers the thousands of kilometres each week out of the kindness of his own heart because he loves taking photos and giving back to the Riverland community. Each week, even without asking, he manages to find away to attend numerous sports and numerous matches within a short space of time. Unfortunately, certain examples have arisen of people taking his services for granted or making incorrect assumptions relating to his photography. As a community it is important to remember how valuable he is and how much of a loss it would be to not have access to his amazing photos each week. Anyone who has met Grant knows he is always incredibly approachable and will greet you with a smile, whether he has met you before or not. He is always happy to discuss any particular issues, as long as it is done in a polite and respectful way. In closing, we as an organisation would like to publicly reiterate our support for Grant and the fantastic work he does for the community. See more
