16.01.2022 Please note as of 21:30hrs on 3/8/20: - Lyell Highway CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC from Derwent Bridge to Burbury. - Anthony Road CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC... - Belvoir Road and Cradle Mountain Road 4WD only from Murchison Highway to Moina. - Murchison Highway from Fingerpost Hill to Rosebery including Mt Black 4WD only. - Waratah Road between Waratah and Savage River 4WD only. This will be in effect until tomorrow morning at the earlies with conditions expected to worsen. Please drive to the conditions and check the Tasmania Police Website for further updates.

11.01.2022 Sad news. We have just been informed by Taswater that the sale of the reservoir has failed. They will be contacting the government on Monday to have it decommissioned. What will happen to all the animals and birds and fish that call this place home and what will happen to Waratahs water supply safety in dry conditions. This decision is a blatent act of environmental vandalism by a out of control government entity.
