25.01.2022 Here is the perfect song for little families everywhere at the moment.

21.01.2022 What musical activity are you doing to strengthen and exercise your brain? I recently completed an African drumming course - I can tell you my brain felt very fired up learning new musical patterns!

18.01.2022 If you have booked into Epizo's drumming workshop on the 28th Nov, this is a taster of what you have to look forward to!!! If you haven't - get onto it while there are some spots! :D

18.01.2022 I know I've been a bit quiet on here! Because we are happily playing away, enjoying our face to face lessons, with very little online lessons happening now! Drumming is one of my most favourite ways to connect with others in the community through music! It really gets the brain cells fired! It's a lot of fun, no matter whether you have been drumming before, or are brand new! This is something adults or older (school aged) children may be interested in! - If you are interested, have any questions, need a drum, please message! Beginners are most welcome! Saturday 28th November, in Muswellbrook!

13.01.2022 We made it to the end of Term 1. <3 I have been reflecting on my lessons with piano students over the last few weeks, conducted from my home to their homes. I know it's been tough for some students. I hold that in my heart. Here are some of the things I have noticed: - Your focus has been amazing, despite the sudden and difficult circumstances. Thankyou - You are still making progress! <3 Each week I see the improvement, when you have practiced. I see some of you practicing ...more, because you can. - I see how music has become more meaningful for some of you, during this difficult time. And you are already using music as therapy, time out for you. This warms my heart immensely. - I am noticing how my own teaching is expanding. From the first week, when I talked so much my voice hurt after a couple of hours of teaching. To now where I am learning to be succinct and simple in my guidance and directions. - There is a softening in on my part. I see my students. I see their piano or keyboard. I love seeing your pets and siblings come and say hello. <3 I see you sometimes struggle to stay focused, I see how hard you focus during your lesson. I see that you don't always have a pencil ready to write something in. And it just makes me smile and understand that too. - I have been forced to step further into the technological (is that even a word haha) world and it hasn't been quite as scary as I had thought. I am thinking about how I can learn more, and do online lessons better. - I love what this experience is teaching me, and I hope all my students are growing from this experience too. It's always so beneficial - If you have read this far, thankyou! <3 Have a beautiful school holiday break, and look for the wonderful moments during this time. <3 And listen to lots of amazing music! :D Music helps everything to be just a little better!

11.01.2022 Piano Classes for children 4-6yrs Last year, alongside our regular piano lessons, we had one beautiful little piano class, consisting of a small bunch of gorgeous little preschoolers! We jumped into the imaginative world of the inner musician, where colours, patterns, sounds, feelings, words and pictures become alive at the piano. All while building the blocks for a music foundation. This class continues specifically for this little group of children in 2020, and I am excited... at the thought of what we will cover. This year I am offering two more classes: Mondays 3:30pm - a younger group: preschool aged children/young kindegarteners Wednesdays 4:30pm for slightly older children: kindegarten/year 1 Children need to have access to a keyboard or piano during the week. Classes start from the 3rd Febuary and are held in Muswellbrook. Please be in touch if this is for you and your child!

06.01.2022 Happy New Year and Welcome to 2020! The days are speeding by and we will be back into school and music lessons soon! This year I will no longer be running Kindermusik classes - I know I will miss seeing all our wonderful Kindermusik families! But I am so happy we have someone filling that gap, and I am looking forward to sharing more details about our new Kindermusik teacher when she has completed her studies and is ready to start. 2020 Piano Lessons will continue to run at ...my Muswellbrook Studio, and also St Mary's in Scone, Scone Public School, and Scone Grammar. Group Piano Lessons will also continue to run at my Muswellbrook Studio - a separate post on these exciting classes to come. Dates have been ear marked for Piano Recitals, Piano Improv Workshops, Piano Pizza Parties, and yes - Piano Theory Classes! As always I'm looking for ways to make music fun and relevant for students these days! And when I'm not doing piano related things like teaching and playing or accompanying, I'm studying the amazing world of sound therapy, or composing, or filling that special role of Mum. :) <3
