23.01.2022 If Bruckner Symphonies were wine: I would describe the 3rd as being incredibly structured, with well developed influences of Haydn. At first you're struck by overwhelming notes of Beethoven, but this piece quickly transitions through innumerous Wagneritian overtones and velvety Schubert to bring you somewhere distinctly complex and Brucknerian. Secondary characteristics include eargasmic, buttery Mozart and delicate Bach, followed by Mendelssohnian tannins mixed with fruit...y folk dance. The finish is angular, but quickly rewarded with exquisite, silky chorales, and cheeky polkas. The drinker's patience is rewarded with a bright and exciting climax, set to leave them in good spirits for days after consumption. Price: Whatever you think it's worth Vintage: 1873 Cellaring: It's been down there for 144 years, drink it already! Shop: https://www.trybooking.com/QDKF

20.01.2022 The Swiss are famed for their clocks, but one alarm clock that rang for the first time in Switzerland wasn't made by the Swiss, but rather a German living there at the time. It only really worked once, at waking up the intended recipient of this alarm, and I sure hope she didn't hit snooze, as it was comprised of 13 people and some very nice instruments. And it was her birthday, and Christmas as well! Good morning, Cosima Wagner. Luke Spicer and his merry gang of musos will do their best to recreate the scene this Saturday - though it's not going to be possible for us to build a replica of the staircase in Wagner's Swiss villa. Book your tix before it's too late! https://www.trybooking.com/QDKF

19.01.2022 It's been a long time coming (owing to some significant technical difficulties), but through the magnificent efforts of our brilliant audio engineer Jonathan Palmer the complete recording of our Mahler 9 performance is now available on Soundcloud. Hearing it again I am stunned by how incredible it was, this was only our second concert! I hope you all enjoy it. Don't forget you can hear us live in a little over a month's time! Book your seat (free!) here: https://www.trybooking.com/QDKF

04.01.2022 Former Prime Minister Paul Keating is pretty famous for a lot of things, but did you know he's a Bruckner fan? (See the clip below) Maybe that's part of what made him a genius witticist...Don't believe me? Why don't you come discover Bruckner with us on September 30th and find out if your political barbs become as savage as PM24's! https://www.trybooking.com/QDKF
