25.01.2022 The MYO Project will be temporarily closed as of today for the remainder of Stage 4 restrictions. The restrictions placed on allied health have made it difficult for us to continue treating as routine services are not permitted and we may only provide care to someone with an endorsed plan, and treatment is preventing a significant deterioration in functional independence. ... As always if anyone has a question or issue over the 6 weeks I will always have my phone on so don’t be afraid to shoot a message or call to have a chat. If anything changes regarding restrictions for our industry over this period I will let everyone know. All patients with appointments this week have been contacted and appointment notifications have been turned off for the future, so appointments will all be cancelled until 14th of September. I will contact everyone closer to this date and when we are confident we are moving back into Stage 3 to reschedule appointments. Stay Safe! Jackie The MYO Project See more

06.01.2022 Shin/Foot Pain Sometimes shin pain and foot pain can be caused by the overuse of the tibialis posterior muscle in the lower leg. Tib post has many roles such as: ... - Helps stabilise and maintain arch of the foot. - Helps turn the foot in (inverting). - Points the foot down (plantaflexers). Tib post calf raise This exercise will help strengthen this muscle that is located medially in the lower leg. 1 Place a small ball in between your heels and squeeze. 2 Come up into a calf raise making sure all toes are still in contact with the ground. 3 Hold for a second at the top, slowly and controlled come back down to your starting to the ground. #themyoproject #myotherapy #rehab #exercise #themyoprojectfootpain #themyoprojectshinpain See more
