23.01.2022 In this study, Contact Settings and Risk for Transmission in 3410 Close Contacts of Patients With COVID-19 in Guangzhou, China published on August 13th, 2020, only 1/350 asymptomatic cases resulted in a positive infection. We found that the secondary attack rate was less than 4% among close contacts of persons with COVID-19. Secondary infections acquired while using public transportation were rare; in contrast, 1 in 10 household contacts was found to be infected. Moreover, we found that patients with more clinically severe disease were more likely to infect their close contacts than were less severe index cases; asymptomatic cases were least likely to infect their close contacts. https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M20-2671

22.01.2022 It is important to note that detecting viral material by PCR does not indicate that the virus is fully intact and infectious, i.e. able to cause infection in other people. The isolation of infectious virus from positive individuals requires virus culture methods. These methods can only be conducted in laboratories with specialist containment facilities and are time consuming and complex. - Kary Mullis, Nobel laureate and the inventor of PCR. Dr Malcom Kendrick offers a very thorough explanation of PCR false positives: https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/20//28/false-positive-tests/

18.01.2022 So many of you loved this when I shared it in my stories, that I thought it deserved a permanent home here. What do you think? As the world fights to figure everything out, Trump, Biden, Covid, BLM, Life...I’ll be doing things like holding doors for strangers, letting people cut in front of me in crazy traffic, keeping babies entertained in grocery lines, stopping to talk to someone who is lonely, tipping generously, sharing food, giving children a thumbs-up, being patient ...with sales clerks, smiling at passersby, and buying a stranger a cup of coffee. WHY? Because I will not stand to live in a world where love is invisible. Join me in showing kindness, understanding, and judging less. Be kind to a stranger, give grace to people who may be having a bad day, be forgiving with yourself. If you can’t find kindness, BE kindness. ~ Gail Elliott.

16.01.2022 Counting COVID-19 ‘Cases’ is Misleading Everybody ....the massive increase in ‘new cases’ is almost completely explained by factors that have nothing to do with an increasing population health risk. New cases are simply the count of those who get a positive test result. But almost all of those as can be seen from the university student ‘cases’ are either asymptomatic or false positives., i.e. they do not and will not show any symptoms of a ‘COVID-19 illness. ...con...trary to widely believed assumptions, there is no ‘gold standard’ test for COVID-19. A diagnostic process, namely PCR, has been used, but since the outbreak there has been no attempt to determine its accuracy. It might be shocking to find that research on lab grown ‘live’ cultures of the virus, taken from patients, had not been published until early August eight months after the virus outbreak. These have been used to assess the accuracy of PCR and the results are not good. It has been shown it is possible to return a positive PCR test where a sample taken from the same patient never grows a viral culture meaning the patient does not have an active COVID-19 infection despite the positive PCR test. The implications of this for the false positive rate of PCR tests are obvious and significant. https://lockdownsceptics.org/counting-covid-19-cases-is-mi/

07.01.2022 Let’s get three things straight: 1. Not one single person who is opposed to extended lockdowns wants anyone to die. Suggesting they do is a ridiculous, and frankly uneducated, rebuttal designed to illicit blame and deflect from the science at hand. 2. Short term lockdowns are supported by the science as they flatten the curve and prevent hospital overwhelm. This approach was successful in almost every country. Extended lockdowns however, come with significant collateral damag...e and likely, an all-cause mortality worse than the virus. 3. Comparing the COVID-19 death rate between two countries is an inaccurate comparison. Yes, Sweden has a higher COVID-19 death rate, and all unnecessary deaths are tragic, but at this stage they do not have a higher all-cause mortality. In Australia we have exponential suicide rates*, 150,000 missed breast cancer screens, equivalent missed diagnoses and treatments, and the list goes on.... The impact of this will be seen for years to come. Worldwide it has been forecast that the existing lockdowns will force 88-115 million people into extreme poverty. The key to minimising mortality in the long term is to do what we, in the declaration, call ‘focused protection’: focusing efforts on high-risk individuals, and letting young people live their lives normally. Young people should still wash their hands and stay home when they are sick. But they should be able to have in-person teaching in schools and universities, and be allowed to take part in sports and so on. Restaurants should be allowed to open. In this scenario, if we protect the elderly more effectively, very few will be infected. Instead, lots of young people will be infected. Shifting the balance of infection toward young people will drastically reduce mortality. We cannot completely protect the elderly, but the longer we drag out the pandemic, the more difficult it is to do so. They are actually better protected if we don’t have a lockdown. - Martin Kulldorff, Harvard epidemiologist. *Please do not quote the Coroners Court Monthly Suicide Data Report from August 2020. As cause of death can take up to 12 months to report, it is simply not an accurate reflection of 2020 suicides. The Australian Bureau of Statistics will confirm this for you if you wish to check. 04.01.2022 We must stop blaming cows for what conventional agricultural has done. It may seem like semantics, but I prefer not to use the term climate change as all climates change and some of this is essential for the evolution of the planet, but one thing that I hope we can all agree on is that the destruction of our soil has to stop. Arguing about fossil fuels is obviously not enough. And even if you believe that green energy is the only way forward, this would not reverse our curr...ent situation. We need to move towards regenerative agriculture to sequester the existing carbon out of the atmosphere and back into the soil. As consumers we can support regenerative agriculture with our dollar. As educators, we must stop blaming methane, and using this extremely uneducated view to push a vegan agenda. Animals are an essential part of our ecosystem. We must however, stop supporting feedlots and if we eat meat, choose organic, grass fed and pasture raised. Your homework this week is to watch the documentary Kiss the Ground, and check out the work of experts including Allan Savory. Instead of dividing over terms like climate change or global warming we have to come together and take action. What do you think?
