19.01.2022 From 5-13 Dec we're hosting the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery exhibition 'Ross Seaton: The Master of Nedlands' in the Naval Store. Ross Seaton (1944-2020) was a well-known local figure, renowned for his long walks along Stirling Highway to the ocean. Over the past 30 years, Seaton made extraordinary paintings and drawings in his front garden in Nedlands which documented his complex and interdisciplinary view of the world.... The first large-scale exhibition devoted to his work, The Master of Nedlands is curated by LWAG Director, Professor Ted Snell AM CitWA, and brings together a selection of Seaton's compelling works to document the artist's unique vision.

12.01.2022 COMING SOON Ross Seaton: The Master of Nedlands Ross Seaton (1944-2020) was a well-known local figure, renowned for his long walks along Stirling Highway to the ocean.... Over the past 30 years, Seaton made extraordinary paintings and drawings in his front garden in Nedlands that documented his complex and interdisciplinary view of the world. Originally scheduled to take place as part of our 2020 exhibition program, The Master of Nedlands was re-imagined earlier this year as an online exhibition due to COVID-19. When Seaton sadly passed away in May, many community members expressed the desire to experience his work in person. We are delighted to announce that Ross Seaton: The Master of Nedlands will take place as a UWA Away project and will be on show at @thenavalstore in Fremantle from 5 December until 13 December 2020. It will be accompanied by an online archive launching 5 December and a monograph, Ross Seaton: Walking Man, by LWAG Director Ted Snell. Presented in partnership with @dadaa_ltd and supported by @cityoffremantle @enkelcollective and private donors. --- Ross Seaton: The Master of Nedlands Curated by Professor Ted Snell The Naval Store, Fremantle 5 December - 13 December 2020 --- : Ross Seaton painting outside his home in Nedlands in 2016.
