25.01.2022 To our community, further to yesterday's announcement regarding the confirmed COVID-19 case on Sunday 13th December at Navy Bear, and in light of the Premier's press conference earlier today urging all Sydney-siders to refrain from non-essential activity, we have taken the decision to close the Navy Bear for the remainder of the weekend. As a precautionary measure we have arranged for the club house to be deep cleaned during this period and will continue to monitor NSW Govern...ment advice over the next 24 hours. Sandy Bear cafe will also continue to operate on a takeaway only basis until we have greater clarity on the status of the Northern Beaches cluster. We thank everyone for the continued support. Our best wishes also go to those affected by the current outbreak and we hope any and all confirmed cases experience a full and speedy recovery.

25.01.2022 The NAVY Bear re-opens today for takeaway only We are pleased to advise that those staff that may have had interaction with the individual concerned have now returned negative test results. In addition, the Club underwent a certified deep clean and are due to reopen at 7am this morning on the advice of NSW Health. We thank you for your support and patience through this difficult period. We hope to see you for a takeaway coffee and egg & bacon roll, and assure you we continue to be very diligent with all our cleaning and hygiene practices.

24.01.2022 To our community, we have today been advised that a confirmed COVID-19 case visited Navy Bear between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 13th December. Current advice from NSW Health is that any other visitors at the time are advised to get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is confirmed. All staff members who may have interacted with the case are being tested and will self-isolate until they confirm a negative result. We will also be operating on a takeaway only basis this ...weekend at Navy Bear and Sandy Bear in light of the current clusters. We will continue to monitor NSW Health advice and update our community as more information comes to light. We understand this is distressing news however we are confident in the measures we have been taking to protect staff and visitors and maintain a COVID Safe operation.
