21.01.2022 Fiddle Leaf Fig Care Tips 1. Lots of bright, indirect sunlight (at least 6 hours) 2. Don't move them around too much, once they find a spot they like to stay there. 3. They like (and need) a lot of water, especially if your plant is on the larger side. But don't let the soil get soggy. You'll need to make sure your soil is well drained. ... 4. Clean their leaves . Just use a damp cloth to wipe away any dust that has accumulated, or if they are small enough chuck them under the shower. See more

I cut just below the node, and ensured there was an aerial root already established. Simply popped in a vase of water and placed in bright, indirect light... I'll keep you posted on how we go! 17.01.2022 Pothos vs Philodendron: Can you tell the difference? Leaves Pothos have textured, waxy and thicker leaves with a very defined mid-rib (the center line down the middle of the leaf). Philodendrons have finer, heart shaped leaves, with pointier tips. ... Colouration Pothos varieties generally have scattered variegation. Philodendrons tend to have flat, even colours (with the exception of the Brasil Philodendron). Growth Pothos leaves extend and unfurl from the stem, with the new leaf initially a lighter shade compared to the mature leaves. The new growth on Philodendrons is pinkish-brown in colour and extends from a cataphyll, which is like a sheath that drops off the plant once no longer needed. This is a distinct feature of the Philodendron. See more

15.01.2022 As we all know, watering your plants is super important, but knowing when the best time to water can be a little tricky. Water too often and you may drown your plant. If the soil stays wet for too long then you may also end up with root rot. On the other hand if you let the soil dry out consistently then this also will cause your plant stress. Each plant will have different needs when it comes to water. Pot size, temperature and the type of plant all will impact how... much water they require. As a rule of thumb, check how wet the soil is approximately 4cm deep. If it is dry, then it is probably time to water. If still moist you can probably hold off for another few days. See more

10.01.2022 We think the perfect plant to dress up any shelf is the String of Pearls. It’s a creeper, so it has little green, pea-like foliage, which cascade down adding a pop of colour to your room. The String of Pearls is super easy to grow and being drought resistant is a great choice for those who are a little forgetful when it comes to watering. The plant is also so easy to propagate, just pop a cutting in a pot and it should take root. This is great, because these plants are such a conversation starter and it won’t be long before you will be sharing your cuttings with friends!

02.01.2022 Fun fact to kick-off #monsteramonday Monstera is a latin word meaning 'monstrous' or 'abnormal'. The plant was given its name due to the natural leaf-holes, that look a little odd compared to regular leaves. The holes actually have quite an important function when the plants are growing wild. By developing the holes, the leaves are able to withstand strong tropical storms as the wind and rain can pass straight through. ... Indoors they love bright to medium indirect light and need watering once the top 4cm of the soil is dry. They don't like to get too cold, so lets hope this cold snap ends soon! Our Monstera Deliciousa has been uber popular this month. Perfect for a birthday gift, we can deliver this 'Lush Leaf' on Thursday, Friday or Saturday this week! See more
