24.01.2022 Since I've been doing long days at the shop without any breaks at all, Its beginning to take a toll on my back and knees (nothing to do with me getting old though haha) so from now on there will be a point in the middle of my work day where I'll be stopping for half hour or so to sit down and have lunch and a break (something I've only done a handful of times since I opened the new shop!) I know this would be pretty hard considering I do walk-ins and the shop is never empty. ...It's one in one out all day in the shop so I'll trial a few things and work out a solution. Maybe ill have a set ammount of cuts and then have a break "booked" in somewhere and I'll just have to vacate the shop for half hour or so while I do that. I dont know what will work but I just don't want to upset anyone when I get to that point in the day. Its a hard one since I'm the only person working there. If it's too much of an inconvenience I'll work something else out.

17.01.2022 JUST A HEADS UP! I'll be away from the shop NEXT WEEK on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (24th, 25th, 26th) for a funeral. I apologise for any inconvenience this might cause my clients. Don't sweat though, I'll be back on Friday with a fridge full of beers, tunes pumpin' and some fully charged clippers ready to hit everyone up with the crispiest cuts this side of the Great Dividing Range

17.01.2022 Ok so here's how the new situation at The New Order works. 1. You book an appointment with me or Chris via our inbox or text message (you should start with your preferred date and time, to save multiple back and forward messages and provide a contact number to go with the appointment) 2. You arrive 10-15min before your appointment to ensure you have plenty of time to find a park and sign in using our QR code on the front door to the shop (this isn't optional, if you dont sign... in you can't enter sorry) 3.You enter the shop, wash your hands with the sanitiser provided and write your name and phone number on the sheet provided inside for your barber of choice (for our records). 4. You get the freshest haircut this side of the ranges easy right? Since Im going back to appointments I just want to remind everyone that it's your responsibility to remember the date and time of your appointment, NO SHOWS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AT ALL AND WILL INCUR A NO SHOW FEE RELATIVE TO THE COST OF YOUR MISSED APPOINTMENT. Just thought I should make that super clear. Some people will love the new arrangements, some will not, but this is what we have to do to ensure the safety of ourselves, our clients and our loved ones. Please cancel your appointment ASAP if you're showing ANY signs of sickness as you will be refused service if you enter the shop.

10.01.2022 The New Order snapbacks are in! They're packaged with the brim flat, you can wear them that way or they are bendable and they're fully embroidered, I'm stoked with how good the quality is on these! $30 a pop while they last!

08.01.2022 I just wanna quickly address the wait times at my shop. Some days they can be pretty long, I know that can be frustrating and sometime I stop taking cuts a bit earlier than closing time due to big line ups and I also know that can be frustrating. I definitely understand and I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience that can cause some people. I aim to do a perfect cut on every client, every time. I don't take shortcuts and I don't pick and choose who gets special treatment, in my... eyes everyone deserves special treatment and that's how I run my show. I aim for half hour per cut max, sometimes I go a touch over, sometimes I get done quicker. I appreciate every single person that sits in my shop (sometimes for hours) waiting for their turn, that is why I get up in the morning and go to work, people like you guys that really care what I'm doing down there and appreciate the time and effort I put into every cut. The current system is working, not 100% perfectly, but it's working, you come in and put your name down and you're welcome to leave as long as you're back before your name comes up otherwise you lose your spot in the line, which I'm sure everyone understands. In the future if you do put your name down and don't intend on returning or something comes up, please let me know so I can give others a realistic wait time to expect before their turn. I aim to make the wait more enjoyable in the future, I'll be adding some form of entertainment (TV? gaming system? I'm open to suggestions) and I now have cold drinks available. If you're waiting for your cut and our conversations pique your interest, please don't be shy, join in! Just don't bad mouth the Warriors and don't bring up politics Were nearly 4 months in at The New Order Barbershop and its 100x bigger and better than I thought it would be, that's thanks to every single person that's sat in that shop and waited for a cut. Thankyou everyone and I hope theres another 50 years in it

Next Tuesday is booked solid, Thursday has a couple left and Wednesday and Friday are filling quickly For the regular clients, please remember to re-book your appointment at your next cut to avoid missing out on your favourite spot **there are only 4 appointments left for next week, Tuesday and Thursday are completely booked**

03.01.2022 Just had the Warriors squad come through for cuts, to say I'm stoked is an understatement! As a Warriors supporter that was one of the best experiences I've ever had

03.01.2022 I just spent the last 2 hours replying to messages for bookings, its safe to say people would rather appointments. Tomorrow is now completely booked out and next week is filling fast.
