23.01.2022 Due to the coronavirus I ask that all high risk clients please avoid coming in for massage until the global pandemic is over. This includes smokers. I understand that this is most of my clients. Unfortunately, I still have bills to pay. This means I am unable to close completely and risk being a carrier. So I ask that only those who have a strong immune system and are not around people with weak immune systems book appointments. Full infection control measures are in place as... normal. To see if you are high risk, check out this link: https://www2.hse.ie/conditi/coronavirus/at-risk-groups.html Thank you for understanding.

17.01.2022 As a massage therapist I understand how much benefit to health the simple aspect of touch can give. With the current pandemic in place and social distancing rules being enforced, we are being denied the ability to heal through touch. I invite you to watch this TED talk on the power of touch. In addition, I would like to give you the knowledge I have so that you may help maintain the health of those who you are in isolation with. As you all know I have been studying the Cert IV in training and assessment in order to teach massage, so I will use this opportunity to teach you. Stay tuned for details on the first lesson.

09.01.2022 For all my clients who have had a psoas release from me. Now you understand why I have you move your leg. This is so I can feel that I am placing pressure in the right place. The movement of your leg while applying pressure allows your own body to relax the muscle because it is such a hard muscle to get to.

04.01.2022 Remedial massage has been approved to operate in Western Australia. However, this only applies to essential treatments. I have contacted those individuals already who are essential without the need for questioning further. I will be creating a series of questions for clients wishing to book in to determine if it is necessary. The clients I work with are often very high risk, so please consider this when requesting an appointment.

01.01.2022 I have taken the time to reflect on a series of questions for you to read before booking in for an appointment. Please take the time to read them all. 1. Do you or anyone you are in isolation with have symptoms of COVID-19? - If yes, do not book a treatment. Contact your doctor.... 2. Will your quality of life be drastically reduced without treatment? (e.g. migraines, massively reduced range of motion, severe pain) - If yes, request an appointment 3. Do you risk injury without treatment? (e.g. exercise injury due to strain or restriction) - If yes, consider if this can be worked around. If it cant be worked around feel free to contact me to discuss the options. 4. Can this appointment wait? - If yes, please postpone until a safer time. 5. Have you sustained an injury recently that you have already spoken to your doctor about? - If yes, feel free to contact me to discuss the options. 6. Is a chronic condition you have getting worse because you are avoiding treatment? - If yes, feel free to contact me to discuss the options. 7. Are you just a bit sore or getting pain since being in isolation? - If yes, Reflect on the behavioral changes that have occurred during isolation. Remember to stretch and exercise to keep your body healthy. Only request an appointment if the pain is causing a severe impact on quality of life. Thank you for understanding. Much love, Anthony, The Nomadic Masseur.
