23.01.2022 BUDGET 2020/21 | GET THE FACTS Council has adopted a 2020/21 Budget that puts residents, the community and our local businesses first. 99.25% of residential and... 95% of commercial/industrial ‘improved’ ratepayers will pay less or the same in rates as last year. The City has committed a combined $1.4 million to a COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery package and an Economic Recovery Fund to support community groups and local businesses. The Budget invests $59.4 million in new capital works to serve our growing community, boost the local economy and create jobs. 06.01.2022 We're delivering your new, larger 360L recycling bin from Monday 26 October If you registered for a free upgrade, here's how it works: Put your old recycl...ing bin out from 6.00am on your usual recycling collection day We will empty it as normal and leave it on the kerbside Your new 360L recycling bin will be delivered on the same day, ready to use We will be back the following business day to remove your old recycling bin, so ensure you leave it empty on the kerbside Registrations for a larger recycling bin closed in June. Further opportunities will be announced in 2021. This project is supported by the City and the WA Government and administered by the Waste Authority of Western Australia.
