So this is what I think: I believe that achieving a healthy diet means eating real food, because we are real people living in a real world and we need to have a realistic approach to health & fitness. I am a firm believer that a healthy diet should include an abundance of fruit and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and low fat dairy with the occasional treat.

03.01.2022 Today I was asked for some practical suggestions on how to cut down your saturdated fat content So here are my top tips: 1) Avoid eating fried or processed foods or takeout 2) When shopping read the nutrition label on each product and look for items with less than 10g total fat and 3g saturdated fat per 100g. 3) Swap your dairy products for low fat alternatives (and try to avoid eating as much cheese as possible)... 4) Increase your consumption of the good types of fat (poly/mono-unsaturated fat) eg: salmon, tuna, avocado, nuts etc. 5) Swap any processed meats (salami, sausages, ham, bacon) for leaner meat alternatives (turkey, chicken, oily fish) 6) Enjoy a meatless monday, whereby you cut out meat from your meals at least one day a week 7) Swap butter for margarine where possible 8) Trim all visible fat from meat prior to cooking 9) Adopt healthy cooking methods such as poaching, boiling, baking. #food #foodie #foodporn #delicious #yummy #foodgasm #igfood #bestoftheday #photooftheday #healthy #healthyfoodporn #healthyfoodshare #healthyfood #foodpics #bbg #nourish #kaylaitsines #nutrition #dietitian #cleaneating #fitness #hearthealth #fat #dietaryadvice #cleaneating #vegetarian #lunch #wellness #ilovefood
